I'm going to throw out a few "knowns" right now so everybody can do some deducing and see what answers pop up.

Lets start with the Ws Who, What, Where and When. (and sometimes why)

Who?

We don't know but Fatboy does. We do however know it is someone working in the pool world.

There are only so many professions in pool. For instance..... Some one who streams pool video. or.... someone who pays for video to be streamed or recorded as part of a larger service.

What?

We don't know that either, but we can speculate on a number of things based on speculation of Where, When and Who.

When? This we do know. It happened at an event that is currently on going...... Derby City?

Where?

Based on when, I'm going to say Derby City.

So let's recap.

Who is involved?
- A video Streaming provider?
- Someone paying a video Streamer?
- Fatboy who happens to be putting on an event at Derby City that is going to be streamed.

What?
-Don't really know but I'm sure some of you can provide some insight.

When?
-Now

Where?
-Derby City?

Why?
-without more information this question can't be asked.

Just theorizing here, but perhaps it could be an employee of Diamond.
 
I think this rogue employee might want to rethink the situation and take another look at where the paycheck is coming from. It is one thing to disagree or to want change, it is another thing entirely to have dissent in the ranks or to undermind an employer (no matter the balance of work).
 
On a serious note, my best guess is that we are talking about a "contractor" of some sort.....employees generally know their place and are smart enough to STFU.....where as contractors, even though they are being paid directly for the event and should show some respect for those that pay them, aren't necessarily an employee....in business, I've had more drama from contractors than vendors and/or employees....

Possible contractors at said event:

Streamers
TD
Ref
Table Mechanic
and the list goes on....

Just my guess....

No sweat, FB. I just saw supergreenman's post and offered a possibility that it didn't necessarily have to be a streamer.


Note: As someone who has collected paycheck's for 20 some years, I have seen that, on some occasions, it's ok to say you are smarter than the boss (very rare). However, saying you are the boss never ends well.

TD or streamer would be my guess. I know which of the 2 is more likely but honing in on one when it is just speculation would not be a good idea on my part.

Totally unrelated to the OP, but being a union worker is nice, because there for a while I started my day by flippin my boss the bird and telling him to "go f*** himself" lol.

How about this:

FB says to Rogue ," I'm going to do this." Rogue says," You can't do that."
FB says to Rogue," Well, I already got the O.K. from Checkwriter, so I'm
going to go ahead and do it." Tempers flare.

So Checkwriter could be deep pockets but he hired Rogue to be in full control of operations. Rogue can't run the show with the 'investor' giving
directions to the cast.

Although Rogue should have chilled I can understand why his blood pressure shot up.

Well to put in my 2 cents anybody handing you a paycheck is primarily YOUR boss!! If your BOSS has the product or whatever you're dealing or promoting then they are indeed your boss. Dont get me wrong i see the arguement of "IF IT WASNT FOR ME HE WOULDNT HAVE ANYTHING!!!" Well then.... if that were true than he's a smarter man for making you do all the work for him therefore... Making you his employee and not his BOSS!!! Just something to think about.

Oh and whoever this person is better watch his step knowing how small our billiard community is. He should be so lucky to get anything or a check from anybody is this industry. Sounds to me like a jaded crybaby of a man-child.. Grow up already if that's how you feel. And if your reading this right now again.... COUNT YOUR LUCKY STARS YOU GET PAID BY ANYBODY!!!!"

My guess would be TD. I don't think any of the streamers would think they are running the event or be in charge of anything except the streaming.
 
I am a streamer at the derby and I know what is going on. Just want to get it clear TAR has nothing to do with any of this mess.

Vague threads cast a wide net. We are not in it.

I just want to let everyone know that I was a PLAYER in the Derby, and I know/do not know/care what is going on and LAWMAN888 has NOTHING/something to do with this/that/the other.

I do not want/do want/maybe not want to be cast in this wide net...
