That the voting function is still enabled and also people can vote more than once, just makes you wonder @ the integrity of the process. Mushroom Sports is keeping us in the dark so far and I'd hope they'll address those questions.
I wonder if they'll divulge the vote counts (not the %'s).
Out of all the people in pool that don't have their "stuff" together, matchroom was one of the very few that did seem to have their "stuff" together. I had always held them in a very high regard but they've seriously disappointed me this year. :frown:
Are you thinking of a blagojovich type scandal here or something....
waiting to see who the highest bidder is?
Most voting sites will atleast implement an IP scan feature to prevent people with the same IP from voting twice....
There are ways around everything, but they only required that you refresh your page. $h1T you didn't even have to clear your cache to vote again.

I really can not see why. A simple technical glitch?
Matchroom's integrity is sound in my opinion (speaking from experience). Folks should not worry.
Did anyone remember to mention that Matchroom is sending some lucky fans to the Mosconi Cup - on their dime!
Its not just the technical glitch, its the overall process of their way of handling the last spot for the American team. Anyone in the world could vote for the American player but they used legitimate measures to put all of the Euro players in place.
I agree somewhat on this; however it is a bit to the fault of organized (oxymoron) pro pool in the USA. We do not make it easy for event promoters to determine "Who is playing the best in the USA?"
It will improve in time...
The upcoming event will be a great/fun one! I hope you and everyone else can give your support!
Its not just the technical glitch, its the overall process of their way of handling the last spot for the American team. Anyone in the world could vote for the American player but they used legitimate measures to put all of the Euro players in place. One week Rodney and Charlie Williams are so far ahead that quite a few on here gave up hope for their guy even having a chance. According to them, they decided to only vote for Rodney or Charlie but yet a week later, one of the guys at the bottom of the list is all of the sudden in the lead? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
You know them personally and you're working with them on this "send a fan to the cup" deal so if you've got no problem with it, great for you. I do have a problem with it but I'm just one person in a sea of others so my thoughts on this will have no bearing on anything whatsoever.
Dennis Hatch was #3 after the first week.
Perhaps that is "at the bottom", what do I know.
He had a whopping 13% of the vote. I'm not going to bother going to find all the quotes but there were many where people stated they were either going to vote for Rodney or CW (I don't recall anyone admitting to voting for CW :grinbecause they didn't believe that anyone outside of Rodney & CW had a chance due to the numbers. I believe the bulk of the posts had written everyone else off until the new numbers were released.
I'm sorry if it bothers people that I'm a "nay sayer" (favorite term used back in the IPT days) about all of this but its simply how I feel about the situation. Again, I'm just one small person and quite frankly it shouldn't bother anyone what I think about it because my opinion of the situation isn't going to change anyone elses opinion nor will it affect what matchroom does in the future.
For those of you that enjoyed it, I'm glad you did. This place would be a real downer if everyone agreed, and esp if they were agreeing about something they didn't like. I'm still going to enjoy the competition, its just lost some prestige for me personally.

How were teams picked in the past and did you like that process better?
I just went to the site to see if the results were posted and it let me vote again??? what's up with that.... I thought the voting was over????
