WHY PIVOT?
Ask Thorsten Hohmann why he's pivoting in the early shots of this drill. He sets up with "outside" and pivots back to "center" during his stroke.
If you can't see this and say "no he's not", there's something wrong with your eyes and head. Or you're just being obstinate and argumentative.

The ignore feature isn't my friend. But taking the last train to Clarksville like Stan, CJ, and a bunch of others did will be my best friend. It will come and I will go.

And with that you can pocket 1 in 8 spot shots (less on your tight table).
Clearly you don't fully understand how your own aiming works - that's not an insult; most players don't. But lots of players want to, so it's useful to them to hear this stuff even if you don't agree with it.

Unless you can approach the cue ball dead on in the middle or at the english spot, you will do some type of pivoting..
Hohmann's own instructor says you have to have your grip hand in line BEFORE you get down.
Fidgeting is really not for most people.
You are welcome to do a video of yourself explaining what he's doing to prove why it misses. But we all know it'll never happen because you've never done a video in your life and exposed your understanding and skill level. Or I should say the lack thereof.

As soon as you're able to describe it with something better than "it's a perception!" or the ever helpful "you just don't get it!".
When you can do that I might start believing you know what you're doing. If you can't describe it, you probably don't understand it.

At risk of having mirza come in here and try to get me banned again, I'll say one thing. Dave, if you did some demonstrations shooting right into the camera at various angles similar to Stan's 5 shot perception video, I bet we could figure out exactly what is going on and why it works for you. The only requirement would be that you are actually aiming at the various CTE Pro1 perceptions as closely as you can.
I'm pretty sure this will never happen, either.
I've watched this over and over, and I don't see any pivoting. In fact, he hits every shot with outside spin except for 2 or 3 which he uses inside. He always lines up directly for the spin and never hits a shot with center cb. It's deceiving because the camera makes the cue look extremely bowed.
Or you could do the exact same thing as you explained WHAT you were doing and seeing in your setup.
I'm pretty sure this will never happen, either.
But do you know what will? Hold onto your drawers and Stan's book and Truth Series Videos will come out and answer all of it. Or, you'll be doing everything to dissect it and say it ain't so which is my guess.

Why don't you attempt doing it yourself and video the exercise. Do you even have enough room for a pool table in 3E?

I had a feeling somebody would make that claim. I also knew it would be one of three individuals. I got it correct.
There isn't any - he lines up to the same spot he hits on every shot. Just the usual pivoter confirmation bias.

It's now up to 2 out of 3 who I knew would chime in. Must be gorilla glue binding them together.
No claim. Just clicked on the link out of curiosity and watched every shot. The head cam distorts the view, making his cue stick look like one from a W.C. Fields poster, but I just never saw pivot and no ccb hits. The action on the cb proves exactly what I saw on each shot.
Put it exactly on one of the system cut angles and make 10 out of 10 if you want. Of course, that's exactly the opposite of what's meant by 1 out of 8 cut angles. Color me unsurprised at your misunderstanding.
