Would a calculator be allowed at the table?

the only downside is if you make it you will be laughed out of the building..

but If you miss you'll be laughed out of town:thumbup::thumbup:

I think with a laser and a few mirrors you could calculate the angles much better. Do you think most people would allow this? Does anyone really think that Chris brings much to this forum? Maybe someone should start a poll.

You may not of invented it but you are the one who can't use it without a calculator. If you can not multiply those two numbers in your head you might want to start taking some night classes.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that trick, I never learned it before. But why would I need night classes? The trick can be learned in a few seconds, why would I need a night class?

With a little practice, this multiplication technique might actually be useful at the table.

He does have an uncanny knack of asking Pocket Point questions.

Why would anybody even consider bringing a calculator to the table.
The many Diamond systems are taught to people to help them simplify the game. How much simpler does one need it to be.

Pick a Diamond System that you find works the best for you and practice it.

If you can't subtract 5 from 30 and divide by 2 to find your spot cross table, then you should sell your cues.

Oh, and thanks for the link Mars. That one was pretty nifty. I downloaded one previously done by a math prof that teaches you how the Egyptians made calculations. Amazingly easy just like the one you posted.

Here's a formula I found on how to make a 7 rail kick through traffic to a slight billiard. Hope this helps......

Well if your allowed to bring a laser! I am going to bring SVB to play for me

You're a living legend, Champ! With your knowledge of CTE/Pro1, you should be playing for SVB. However, you may still want to bring a tape measure and calculator with you to the table. :p

Actually, when I went to high school, and in my time, it was HIGH school, we weren't allowed calculators. Instead, the buggers went and taught us how to use a slide rule. How un internet of them was that?

There was a small Chinese take out close to home, the owner had an Abacus on the counter. One night, I got BSing with Sam and he showed me the basics of the Abacus. Pretty darn simple and one can do some seriously large equations on it.

Now, if you really want to impress people on league night, take a Slide Rule to the table with you. I have/had an old wooden one that someone probably gave me. Now I'm going to have to rip thru some boxes downstairs and see if I can find it.

Maybe he thinks you are a moron? Of course, I am not implying that you are a moron, I would never do such a thing. I will just play your game, suggesting things without actually saying anything. Also, I know a tournament pro that has said many times that you are a moron, but I am not saying that myself, I am just saying that I know a tour pro that says that about you.

Are you going for a Guinness world record for how many bullshit threads you can start in the least time?

I can just tell you're the type of person that thinks about what you're having for dinner that day.....hmmm pizza I think. Hey guys. GUYS! I'm having pizza for dinner FYI.

If you spent more time at a table instead of on your arse typing you might not need some implement or shady manoeuvre to beat someone. Gtfo.

Of what value would it be to me for people to believe I'm intelligent?

Now i know why he has them right where he wants them when playing one pocket and being down 7balls to 1 with all balls up table, he is armed with devices where the man with 7 only has his pool stick!
