Steve: I love that cue, especially with the ivory joint's addition to its look. I can only wonder how that plays! May I ask what case is that next to the cue and what is the forearm of the cue?

I'll go out on a limb here and assume that you mean Scott when you say Steve.....
The joint is not ivory, it is flat-faced implex with a 3/8-10 pin. To me it plays a little softer than a piloted ivory joint.
The case is a Fellini that I also bought from Bill with the cue. It is made from what he called "buggy whip" leather. If I remember right, he had some of that leather and had about half a dozen cases made by Fellini from it.
The forearm is stained birdseye maple. Here is a better pictures.
