So I have yet to hear a peep from Mr. KV despite his claims that he's going through and contacting everyone. I'm wondering how much contacting he's really done?

People who are waiting for cues:

1) Has he contacted you?

2) What has he said?

I think this is important information to share so that people know if KV is really making serious attempts, or if he's just blowing more smoke.

There have been numerous threads about Kevin Varney here. Couldn't you have selected one of those, rather than creating a brand-new thread?

I am sorry that you are experiencing difficulties in your communication with Kevin Varney, but take it on over to the other forum. Maybe it might be better to pull up one of the other Varney threads and continue on bashing him, if that's what rocks your socks.

Sorry JAM but you're wrong here.

I mean, its not a topic for the Cue Gallery section as nothing is being displayed. And its not a topic for the Wanted/For Sale as nothing is being sold.

Its 'pool related' as it has to do with a transaction between two individuals (both members of this pool-related message board) for a very pool-related product.

So, where exactly do you suggest this thread be moved to?!? This is exactly where is belongs. And if its something you don't want to read about, perhaps the best thing to do is, in the 1.5 seconds it takes you to read the title of the thread, you should skip over it once you see KV's name. Plain and simple.

Thoughts of an uninvolved bystander

I know it is easy for me to say, not being involved, but I say just give the man a little bit more time to do what he has promised.

If I was involved I would want him in the shop building cues instead of wasting time trying to answer everyones questions.

I try to keep the cues in order as best as possible instead of working on whomever is complaining the most....as many cuemakers do.

Like I said in my previous thread....I haven't gone anywhere...just spending as much time as possible in the shop....building quality cues as fast as the wood, family, and God will allow.

I am in no way saying that the over booking and lack of communication by KV was the right way to do business, only to give him the chance to make it right.

I was contacted by him in response to me wanting an ebony sneaky pete in August. He said i could have one made in 60 days because he had a blank already done. I said sure!! I had heard a few times that it was "all down hill from here" and that i was on schedule to be late january,, now remeber in August he said 60 days. I paid in full and now it is May and i have yet to hear anything since early Feb.

I order a lot of cues from prolific makers and this is truly amazing.

We found out my wife was pregnant in July so i wanted a cue in August to use a take to my LAST derby for a while since i will have a family now. 60 days was plenty to get used to it, and then i figured in April i would sell it or keep it when i quit playing because of the birth of my daughter. WELLLLLLLLLL May, and i do not have a cue!!!!!

I am not bad mouthing until i use it and with me he can easlily resolve this by telling me the EXACT date my cue will be sent as i have asked 10 times.

This wasn't intended to be a bash KV thread, I think if you read the OP without that assumption already in place you'll see I'm just trying to have information shared.

The fact that no one has responded to the original question I think either means even people involved are sick of the whole thing (believe me, I am, I'd just like my refund so I can go on my merrry way) or perhaps people are afraid that saying too much will result in KV being vindictive in some way.

But really, benefit of the doubt? Chance to make it right? He's had those things and more. He keeps doing the same thing--ignoring people and stalling. I believe I'll get my cue. It just might take another 4 or 6 months. He broke his promise, so I just want a refund. But he's not so much as even acknowledging that I exist...

Question: you knew at the time you ordered you wanted the cue on a short timeframe. Did you tell KV this before he gave you his 60 day timeframe?

You have done nothing wrong, and everything right. This can never be allowed to die until all is corrected, our new members do not deserve to be the next victims. Hopefully this information will give others what they need to make the correct decision when making purchases on this or any other Internet Forum.

HOWEVER, posting threads won't get your cue done faster. If you wish in one hand and shit in the other--- one hand will fill-up a lot quicker.

I'd call for a refund, if I didn't get a response, I'd pay $50 and call a district magistrate to serve him papers. That usually gets someone's attention when a sheriff bangs down their door. FIX the problem - stop posting about it.

Well he contacted me and we discussed everything briefly. I told him to put mine on the back burner and take care of some of you crybabies first but he flatly refused saying he was trying to keep them in order with the excption being some are easier to finish than others. I don't want to anger the man by putting his personal business out there but on top of everything else he just recently found out his mother has cancer. That combined with his grandmothers recent heart attack is a lot on ANYBODYS plate, hes had a horrible run of bad family news of late. I agree with sde and snapshot9 give the man a chance. EVERYONES CUES ARE COMING, he's doing nothing currently but working on past due orders. Some of you should really be ashamed of yourself. He's putting up pictures of delivered cues (last week) and more will come this week. There are a lot of happy KV customers on here that just don't want to get involved in these basher threads.
Rocket if I was him you for sure wouldn't get a refund just for the way you've tried to ruin his business. Another thing I found interesting was he told me the majority of the repeated bashers don't even have a cue order. Like poolplayer2093, bpg24, manwon. These little AZ hater groups are rediculous and tiring.
I could keep on but I've said enough. Kv if you read this forgive me but I just really had to speak my mind.

exactly he's got some people on here stuck enough cash that they should be willing to do something about it. i think the major problem is that is' decent cash but when you look at it. if yuo're from out of state and have a job, family, bills and such it's really not worth your time to go out of town to settle up on 400-1k dollars. but someone on here must be willing to do it ya know. without action this is all talk

What's wrong with using this forum?
