However, after seeing part of your video, it just screamed out at me to post the link to the video above.

You want to persuade people over to your side, yet you start out with a spokesman that is, from everything I have read about him, barred from more pool rooms in the USA than anyone else ever, and looks and sounds like he just used up all the weed available in Colorado. First things out of his mouth are to call everyone of us on here retards, and to claim that none of us on here have the intellectual capacity to even understand what he is talking about. Just priceless!! Really, it is priceless. No price can be put on that kind of garbage. You should be paying everyone of us that even watched 5 minutes of it for our waste of time. Yet, somehow, you think that kind of garbage will attract sponsors to your site.

I've heard a lot of clueless people rant over the years, but you guys take it to a whole new level. Just amazing!

I can't believe some of you guys. Erica is just looking out for the benefit of pool players, and has come up with one of the best ideas in a long while. I haven't seen something this game changing since the jump cue was invented.

You should spend some resources in having your site professionally evaluated for it's design. In it's current form, it is an amateur attempt at creating a website at best, and I am being nice as possible with this comment.

If you think the background of you with your tongue hanging out will spark interest in pool, I think you are mistaken.

2. Demand that streamers living in their van pay players a decade of back royalties. Which of course they are in no position to do, so their videos will never be put back up.
3. Create ad-infested, pay per view platform with zero bandwith, and generously allow the streamers to put their content on it:rolleyes:
4. Watch as nobody but the hardcore Azb'ers ever visit.
5. Divide the 500 dollars made on every pool player across the world

No duplicates.
No irrelevant stuff showing up in searches.
Best video available posted (with snooker matches, you may get good video quality - with the commentary in Russian substituted for English. :grin:)

When site generates lots of money, sprinkle around amongst the players.

To put it another way - if the foregoing is a valid idea, why does this thread exist?

I see your website wasn't able to cope with the surge in demand of two people trying to watch your video. Won't it be brilliant once we no longer have to put up with the near perfect uptime of Youtube? I can hardly wait!
 
Pool has no money to go around. If it did, everyone would get paid well. From promoters to tournament directors to the pool hall owners to the pro players.

The way it is now, no one is making any significant money. And if all the pool videos on YouTube were magically moved to a site specifically for pool, still no one would make any money. The only ppl who would visit that site are us diehards. There are not enough of us to make any difference. We need millions of the general population to be interested AND watch pool on a regular basis to make any difference.
 
This is ridiculous, no one is going to your new blog / website to view videos, and if you somehow managed to invest the crazy amount of time and money it takes to get eyeballs - your infrastructure and site would quickly crumble under the weight of enough views to make any money....

The producers who spend the time, money and infrastructure investment are the ones who deserve any ad revenue that comes from the videos, especially because it's pretty much zero. See, you think the product is the video, when in reality it's much more the platform.

It's supply and demand in some ways too, if all the billiard videos disappeared from YouTube nobody that matters is going to give a shit, there's zero money going anywhere and you've just lost one of the largest channels to promote your sport in the universe.

Take all the youtube matches is cutting off your nose to spite your face as the saying goes...

I took a video of the Memorial Day parade in May and put it on youtube. Should everybody in the video be compensated?

If the players don't want to be seen the should opt out of playing on the live stream.
