Hahaha...of course. I should lose 20 Fargo points for that question. For some reason, I was thinking of just his name and not his username. I'm probably being too harsh but it's all just so strange.
What's strange is you've not compared me to other instructors. For example, my friend Tom Simpson, who sadly passed a few years ago, a top instructor with one of the only 9 PBIA Master Instructor ratings in the world, taught Hal Houle aim methods in costly clinics while practically making people sign NDAs to learn them. He was a very busy instructor and you can go online and find about three people in one or two articles/blogs taking about his clinics. That's it after decades and he had a pool teaching-specific website, which I don't.

Tom was my supervising editor for my years of instruction columns at InsidePool, he play tested and critiqued everything I taught before allowing it to print, and one of my columns with him was "A Year of Pro Secrets". I'm also the past coach of the University of Florida team (six ACUI National winners in its history).

Then you write, "Gee, I cannot find much on your teaching out there." LOOK.

Steve was named so in 2005.
Matt - I'm a senior member of the BCA Hall of Fame Committee. 2005 was Robin (Bell) Dodson and Mike Massey's induction. I have never even seen Steve's name on the Meritorious Service nomination list. Not that he isn't worth of nomination, but I've never seen his name on the list.

As someone else pointed out, it's 2023. You can actually look it up, if you'd like. Maybe Steve Lillis was inducted into some other Hall of Fame.

I would heed the implied advice of Easy E. Why you would get into these type of headbutting arguments as a potential instructor to the AZB audience is beyond my comprehension. You're not doing yourself any favors.

This is one of your MO's. We try to stop with you, and then you always throw one or two more little nuggets in, like the above. I've tried to look -- I can't find anything other than links to purchase your book or a blurb that paints your previous statements as suspect or misleading at best.

Like your coaching tenure at Florida. Are you now saying you coached there like Mark Wilson did at Lindenwood? If so, surely one of your student athletes could attest to the significant role you played in their develop. Or did you manage a pool league on or near campus like your blurb states on this page:

There are quite a few claims on that page that I find very suspect. Like all of your television appearances. I've watched TV more than three times times, and I tend to make note of the few sightings of pool personalities when I come across them. Do you mind linking to a few of these appearances on YouTube, or let me guess, they have all been removed due to copyright considerations?

When will it stop?

Up until now, I haven't blasted you or said anything negative. Hal moved to PA from San Francisco in the remaining years prior to his passing and it was where I live in York. Stan and I went to see Hal while he was still ambulatory as well as when he weakened and was bedridden. I went a number of times as did Stan traveling from Kentucky.

Tom Simpson taught Hal NOTHING. Hal tried teaching Tom about CTE and Shiskabob and he wasn't able to digest any of it.
Then again like many, he was completely close minded and only wanted to do what he used and taught while disregarding other methods.

What you posted is total bullshit!

My sincere apologies, Spider. This is news to me. I spoke to Hal Houle only a few times before Hal passed. I was familiar with some of Hal's systems so I didn't discuss them at length with Tom.

Again, I will be happy to give you player references for you to speak with. I live in Gainesville, Florida, and have both coached the former UF ACUI team on the University of Florida campus, at the University of Florida's Game Room, I have also taught paid billiards courses there for beginner and for intermediate players--and as you suggested I have also led/coached/refereed/played in Gainesville city leagues also.

I was prompted to post here because I am teaching a Clinic with Tom Kennedy, six-time Florida champion and former U.S. Open Champion, and Tony Robles just recommended to his students in Florida that they attend with TK and me in July.

I clicked on the link you posted, and it is a publisher's biography. I have appeared on television mostly for my James Bond/entertainment events.

You or others reading this thread are welcomed to a free lesson with me, and to report your findings on that lesson here.

That must have been quite exciting being on NBC promoting your James Bond events. I bet you kept close track of all your appearances. I know I would have. Why not just share one of these appearances with us? Most of us love rooting on our fellow AZ'ers.
Problem is, those appearances are clouded in as much mystery as your pool videos.

Now that's my last post, unless you pull me back in - yet again.

I welcome a conversation offline, I'm sure we can work this out with a phone call, even laugh about it, but if you choose to respond here to others, that's your choice, I don't "pull people" into commenting.

You are welcome to contact the 25 pool people I've just posted a list of, or the 100 plus Bond and spy folks who've appeared at my events. Some of them have appeared on television with me or done five or six of our Bond fan events. Would you like a phone number or email, for example, of an actor friend or two?

Sorry, but I am NOT impressed. Bond is so passe! And I'm not attending anything that's taking money out of my pocket and putting it into yours, even IF I gave a rat's ass.

Huh. Recent passé Bonds have earned billions at the box office, and the newest novel is being published this month, tied specifically to King Charles's coronation.

I'm not asking you to be impressed with out star roster, including James Bond himself, David Carradine, Robert Culp, etc. but I bet I worked harder on my Bond hobby than you do at your 9-to-5. We should always be impressed by people who work hard, compliments are free, don't be so cheap!

I offer you one free pool lesson AND one Bond lesson. You can take my time, which is valuable, out of my pocket, and put in it your six pockets!

It's so nice to be nice.

Now you're soliciting compliments in addition to testimonials?
And what's all this Bond garbage have to do with your pool clinic.
