One I found...Danny vs. Grady

Grady's game was over rated. He was a high level One Pocket player, but not one of the top five guys, maybe top ten. I watched Ronnie give him 9-6, 9-7 and torture him. As you said Grady was a famous pool sucker, going off to all the top hustler/players.

Danny meanwhile had tons of heart and played good for the cash. He was definitely a top ten all around player with no real weaknesses. Prior to Shane and Dennis, no one won more tournaments in the various disciplines (14.1, 9-Ball and Eight Ball) than Danny. I was in with Danny on some good scores (as much as 10K in the 1980's) so thank you Danny D. A little aside. Danny was the toughest pool player of all time. At 5'9 and 165 lbs, Danny would take on goliaths who gave him a hard time. I saw him knock out a football sized guy with one punch in a bar in Hollywood one time. The guy made the mistake of pushing Danny and then BOOM! He was on his back and it was all over.

I loved Danny Diliberto! One of my all time best friends in pool (maybe the best). Danny never cussed and did not allow profanity around women. He would give you one warning and after that you were trouble. He never raised his voice. He didn't have to.
Sadly he was a “bleeder”, win the cash at the tables and dump it at the tracks, both dogs and horses.

Lowest deflection kielwood

Is low deflection something that you really want, especially after years of maple shafts? Do players actually see their game improve with ld play? I am a 500 fargo player and I can alternate between wood and cf easily, without me noticing much. I actually think I prefer wood for feedback.
Yes……Kielwood is better……I’ve been playing with wood cue shafts from 1962 almost thru 2024.
In October that same year, I acquired my 1st KW shaft. I now have 4 KW shafts from 2 different
cue builders. I still have the orig. maple shafts that have similar specs to the KW shafts, at least the
weight is the same. I only play the KW shafts and switch them so I can play any cue in my cue case.

Absolutely yes, the KW shafts are lower deflection and that’s a good thing because the sound and feel
of your stroke doesn’t suffer, the wood feels natural, sight adjustment is minimal with 60-90 mins.of
solitary practice. If you find the right cue maker, get a KW shaft to match the weight of your orig. shafts.
Mine are 4 ozs. so it can sometimes take awhile when all your cue joints are flat faced big pin threads.

WNT Legends

I just noticed it's Andy cloth. I played a WNT satellite tournament where Andy had donated a batch to the TD and he had it installed on half the tables. The other half were 760, which was the normal cloth for this room. Tables were GC3's. Both cloths were installed by the same mechanic a few days before the tournament. The Andy cloth was faster than the 760.

You need 760 at least in your wet basement, not the 860 you've always had. Plus, a dehumidifier or AC unit to run all the time, not only when you play. A heater under the table will will also help.
Ita also air conditioned in the mall on top of the Andy cloth...
