Chalk Habits and A Doozy of an AccuStats

Another peeve of mine is when people chalk over the table, oblivious to the shower of chalk they're dropping directly on the rail or the cloth.

Speaking of chalking, I captured this from a live stream a while back :ROFLMAO:

This is one I remember. The guy did this the entire match. Chalking 10+ times on every shot, even easy stuff. I would honestly refuse to play him. That's into the realm of OCD behavior that I don't want to even be around. Go flip a light switch or something like a normal person. ;)

I'm not trying to crap on anyone with OCD but I honestly can't stand this type of tick. The guy's probably a great dude but I'd never hang around enough to know, I'd be out the door. My adhd brain can't handle this type of stuff. On a tough shot I could understand it but this was literally every shot. No thanks. 😰

Questions regarding league play and related items.

Another cue I've truly enjoyed playing with is a old Dufferin Sneaky Pete bar cue a friend of mine turned into a 2 piece cue that's over length and even with a bit of a lift in the shaft when rolled across a pool table it still hits a ball very !

The down side of it besides the lift is the length it's a challenge to shoot some shots with a wall or some other obstruction near the table but when there's a lot of space around the table it still plays lights out !

If visualizing a pocket's mirrored position is difficult for you, you can "triangulate" it - where the relevant lines intersect...

Yep this is the idea, thanks! I think there was a poster with a matrix of tables... another matrix might even be in the they who shall not be named book.

It takes a bit to understand how to visualize the shots, but once you get onto it, it becomes second nature. Everyone learns and does different things in this game. I personally find it way easier than trying to divide angles the normal way. I can divide them the normal way but it seems a "far away" target with the ghost table is easier to aim. Between this and fly on the wall type shots you can make a lot of stuff easily that seems like it would be difficult to visualize. It would take some admittedly easy diamond calculations, but it works nice if you just see it and don't have to calculate or pick between systems.

I can do this with Z shots, but to be honest I can't put into words what I'm looking at but it's this type of system. I think I visualize a pocket as if it were in between the pockets and out at a table width (at second diamond maybe), but don't quote me on that, I'd have to be at a table and pay attention to what I actually do.

Thanks again for posting the diagram.
