Predator launched a new site

They never made full cues, just shafts.
Falcon used to make their butts and later production moved to China.
Yes I understand all that. But they are an OEM model, not ODM. They designed their whole line. Then they had manufacture's make it. It's like that in lots of industries.

They are not a "marketing company" that goes to manufacture XYZ and says "bring me something that my customers will buy in 3 weeks" without being intimately involved in the design process. That is the ODM model.

Even for the tables they got into recently, Predator was involved closely with the design and making it their own table, not just sticking their cat logo on the existing SAM table.

Blast from the past: The Miz vs CJ Wiley

I played in them almost every year till it changed/they always had Gold Crowns stored for the annual event.... I was ahead and Finally getting to the final 8 on the winner side, played Massey.
Mike was shooting the seven in the corner pocket by the foot rail, he clipped the 8.... seven ball went three rails into the corner pocket, and he ran out.
I was on the hill and he now had 9 games.
Bad beat to lose that way.
I got turned on (not literally) too my First, great Vegetarian/hippie type restaurants across the creek from the event with Louie Lemke. One of the best guys I've come across during my playing years.
Ran into em yrs later in Louisiana at a concert outta the blue walking around/with his hippie VW van and a hot lookin' hippie chick. Great man of the Midwest.
Yeah Stu, Rempe was always there. Here's mah fav pic's during that timeframe.
Young lovers.

Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core
The G-Core’s Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core extends through the first 7 inches of the shaft. This stabilizes the front-impact area of the shaft for increased control and predictability. This technology increases radial consistency, reduces vibration and limits the inconsistencies found in traditional maple shafts.
Carbon Tenon Technology
G-Core shafts feature a carbon fiber ferrule core. This technology results in a stronger ferrule assembly with maximum impact properties and enhanced feedback. The red ring at the base of the ferrule acts as a dampener to help absorb shock upon impact.
Radial Consistency
Radial consistency is the shaft’s ability to perform the same way on every shot, regardless of its orientation. The G-Core's Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core technology will consistently provide a straighter cue ball path, minimizing the need to compensate for spin and throw.
Navigator Black Tip
Navigator Black tips feature multiple layers of Japanese pigskin leather that are assembled using a proprietary adhesive. This prevents oxidation, meaning the tip won’t get harder after short usage. They are most adaptable tips in the Navigator line, allowing players to shape and mold the tip over time to fit their play style.

Blast from the past: The Miz vs CJ Wiley

One of my regrets as a 50+ year fan of pro pool is that I never went to the Sands Regency event.

Nice match here between Mizerak, who had already won about 90% of the titles he'd win in his career and the up-and-coming star Wiley, who would gain the number one ranking on the PBT about five years later. Mizerak had as beautiful stroke as I have ever seen. One of his peers described him as "having the perfect mix of power and finesse."

CJs instinctive, yet super impressive, pattern play reminds me a bit of a Jayson Shaw or Chezka Centeno. Some players just seem to see the patterns almost instantly, and they are always fun to watch.

Finally, any match commentated by Incardona is a treat. He is still, in my opinion, the best English language commentator in the history of our sport.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct Rule

didnt dallas do the exact same thing immediately before efrens foul at 56min? im a stranger to 14.1, but dallas did basically only touched the cue ball with the tip of his cue... seems like the same thing efren did
Nope. Touching the ball with the TIP of the cue like mr. West did (without really moving it) is a perfectly ok way to take a foul. Intentionally fouling is a big part of 14.1. It's still a foul and loss of one point, or 15+1 if you foul 3 times in a row. After 3 in a row you then also have to rebreak the balls. All such fouls must however be commited by using the cue tip to strike the ball.

Touching the cue ball with anything else, besides the tip, (on purpose) is not ok, and is considered unsportsmanlike. Punishment is usually up to the discretion of the officials. For instance deliberately moving balls with your hands, raking the balls to the rail with the cue etc. may be a loss of game. What Efren got is typical for the type of infraction he commited. Accidentally touching the cue ball with your clothes, hands or part of the cuestick except the tip is just a normal foul, but may result in the lie of the balls being restored to where they were before the foul occured. Efren deliberately tapped the cue ball with his ferrule, thats not ok. Sometimes a cue ball is wedged in an ideal spot and it's hard to touch it with the tip without disturbing the lie of the balls. Keep in mind that even 1mm of movement may either leave a ball on (make it pocketable) or enable a legal safety shot. This rule is there to avoid people creatively avoiding making an actual attempted stroke, to get out of a tough situation. It can sometimes be easier to just graze the ball with your ferrule and avoid movement, rather than elevating the stick over the pack and tapping it with the tip. You lose some control when you have to elevate (for instance) or if there are other factors making the stroke awkward, while just tapping the ball with the ferrule itself doesn't require anything like that.
