“Tiger Products” has a New Member of Team Tiger, Top Men’s Pro Phenom, Oscar Dominguez!

US professional player Oscar Dominguez, aka “The Big O”, is the newest member of the Tiger Products team. He joins forces with such elite players on the Team Tiger lineup as: Shawn Putnam, Neil Fujiwara, Samm Diep, and Mazin Shooni.

Dominguez, a California native had this to say, "I've tried every cue tip there is. By my use of such a very small diameter shaft (8mm), it really wreaks havoc on my cue tips. Sniper Cue Tips by Tiger have been the most consistent and best performing tips thus far!"

"Having personally known Oscar and his family for over 20 years, I’ve been privileged to watch his development as a man and a pool player, to say I have been impressed would be a gross understatement!” said Corey Harper, Marketing Director for Tiger Products.

Currently ranked 11th on the 2009 BCA Points List, Dominguez is can be found competing at most major professional billiard competitions.
Some of Oscar’s recent accomplishments:

• Winner: Catherine Alden Memorial 9-Ball
• Runner-up: Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball
• 3rd Place Pro Players 10-Ball Championships
• 7th Place UPA Desert 9-Ball Shootout
• 13th Place: US Open 9-Ball Championships
• US Representative – World 10-Ball Championships

When not competing, Oscar attends College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA with plans for transfer to Pepperdine University or California State University Northridge in order to complete his Bachelors of Science Degree in Sports Medicine/Kinesiology.

Established in Canoga Park, Ca 1988, Tiger Products is the leading US Manufacturer of specialty laminated billiards products and accessories. Tiger brand Laminated Cue Tips including; “Sniper”, “Everest”, “Tiger Jump/Break” and “Tiger” (Soft, Med & Hard) are known throughout the world as the very best. This is great news. Oscar is CLASS all the way. So is his dad. I am happy for him and Tiger Products. It's tough to find a better man to represent your company.

Wow, great news!! Oscar is a heck of a pool player, not to mention that him and his dad are class acts!

Congratulations Oscar!

Hi Corey. Congratulations, Oscar is a great representative of the company. He is a fine young man.

My Sniper's have never actually worn out. I've had them changed occasionally to get a little softer feel, but they definitely hold up better than any tip I've encountered.

I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Oscar alot this year at DCC. This "kid" really impressed me on and off of the table. He's extremely personable and a real asset to game, as is his father. Congrats Oscar, Tiger products has got themselves another great representative.

8mm? What tha fak?

Anybody got a pic of that?

He plays with a cue that has an extremely stiff taper, like a carom cue. I didn't think it was 8mm but I thought it was at least 10 or 11.

Even though the tip is small, the shaft quickly tapers in thickness. Ernesto learned long ago how to re-work a shaft to lessen deflection from a cue without losing the stiffness or most of the weight from the shaft.

He had a Tad Titlist conversion I hit a few balls with. It takes some getting used to but it's very effective.

I used the DogsPlayingPool link above (thanks Dogs) to this photo of Ernesto - you can see the taper here.

Glad to hear of the sponsorship. This tells me we'll be seeing and hearing more of Oscar's tournament play in the future. :)

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Of course, gotta show some love to Corey, Tony, and everyone at Tiger Products. Great people and solid products. Also, gotta thank Justin of TheActionReport.com for the picture... I really appreciate the help of Tiger and hope to make a good representative of thier products.

Well, thanks again to everybody and make sure to check out Tiger Products when you get a chance. Take it easy...

Oscar

Congrats Oscar !! Over the past two years I don't think a player has done more for than game than you. Obviously, you have put in the effort and its nice to see that it has paid off for you.
Only trouble is now you are going to have to give up more weight to the Hardtimes guys !

Congrats !

Congrats Oscar.
Nice pic.
Who's that man in the background? He looks like he's seriouslyyyyy sweating the match out.

Congrats Oscar. I met Oscar at the DCC and this young man has the right character.
