What a difference! After cleaning and brushing my table last night, I decided to clean my balls:rolleyes: I was more focused and ran a few racks early. I can even hear a different sound that the balls make and they look shinny too:thumbup:
 
Clean and polished balls make a huge difference. I thought John S. was a little flakey being so anal about clean balls. But the first time I washed and polished them I ran a 96 the next day. Unfortunatly I haven't come close to 96 since, no matter how clean I get them.:mad: Johnnyt
 
Reminds me of a Chris Rock skit....

No table at home, always have to play out, guessing my balls will be dirty for some time....
 
I regularly clean the balls on my favorite table at my local bar....people look at me like I've just grown another head, but the balls do play much better.

Using anal, flakey and balls in the same sentence may not be work safe (NWS). I agree, and think cleaner billiard balls allow more spin action and skid action. I know a couple of people that bring their own cue ball (measles) and they swear that they better. Back of my mind, their cue ball is going to be cleaner and newer/shinier than the worn out house ball.

I think you get more respect with clean balls. People seem to look at you and think "Dang he sure has some clean balls, and polished up and shiney..look good and smell good too I bet" and when you see this person looking at you like..wel, like someone strange would look at you, you think to yourself....Why are they checking my balls out so closely, I must have really cleaned them up good...

Also, I think the cleaner the balls, the chance of skidmarks on the table is not as likely to happen......

I just got the Aramith Self Cleaning balls. It's just annoying when they decide to wipe their a$$ just as you are shooting at them.
 
I am one of those people that bring their own balls (and DELTA-13 rack) to the local pool hall, (the pool hall balls are worn.... smaller, dirty and lighter). Mine are almost new, polished and play and rack MUCH BETTER than the house balls using a worn wooden rack. Many places have inexpensive rental lockers to store your good balls and/or rack.

I don't know why anybody that plays a lot, doesn't buy and use good balls (good rack optional).

By the way, simply using a good measles or red circle cue ball with a old, worn set of balls (smaller) makes the larger cue ball bounce off smaller balls wrong.

In some bars having clean balls will definitely get you more action, if you're in to that sort of thing (not that there's anything wrong with it ;)).

I've got a set of Aramiths Tv balls , and I clean my balls twice a week , plays better when there clean , you can't have dirty balls to play with . :thumbup:
