I am just going to throw my two cents out here, just because. I do not see what the big deal is about Borana being on the cover. I don't know her personally, but some of my friends have met her, and say she is a very nice person. I read the article and thought it was great. I think it's awesome that she has come as far as she has in such a short amount of time. It shows a dedication to the game, and she deserves to be rewarded for that. It just goes to show that if you set a goal, and work hard for it, the odds of achieving said goal are in your favor (obviously!). I actually admire her for having a full time job, and being able to do the whole "pool" thing. I love seeing a pool player that has job!
This article also gives hope to all other "up and coming" pool players - those that never really thought they had a chance to make it "big", so to speak. I think the article was well written, and it gives off a certain vibe saying, "hey, I can do this too!". This is, of course, just my opinion. Take it or leave it - doesn't matter to me.

I think the point people are making is... If I jump from a C player to an A player by next year, will I be on the cover? All signs point to no. Im too ugly! If I win the US Open, will I be on the cover. Hopefully!
So many people making a big deal out of nothing, perhaps her being on the cover will sell magazines and bring some more people to the game. I think she is attractive and is a good player so why the fuss? I think people need to find something better to do then rain on someone's parade.

"A few tournaments" LMAO. You can give most of the girls on the tour the 8! If you were pursuing pool as a career, you would be right up there with Allison, Karen,Yu etc.... I think it would be cool to do a story on a top woman player with a full time job!!
