Borana on the Cover of Inside Pool

She looks better here than on the cover. Inside Pool needs to change photographers.

Here's one with several pics you may like...

Paging BigTruck

...snip...

I'm sure Borana and I would be interested in doing a match. We've never played each other in a tournament so it would be fun.

BTW, she's going to be coming Texas to go with me to the next OBCues tour stop in Arlington next weekend.

Alright BigTruck - coming soon to a theatre near you (same state anyway), we have genuine interest.

They wanted me to be on the cover, but I had a hair appt and couldnt make the photo shoot...KK9L, I dedicate my hair to you baby!

Shawn, your dog called. He wants his hair back and says he's really sorry for eating all your meds.

Great Article

I am just going to throw my two cents out here, just because. I do not see what the big deal is about Borana being on the cover. I don't know her personally, but some of my friends have met her, and say she is a very nice person. I read the article and thought it was great. I think it's awesome that she has come as far as she has in such a short amount of time. It shows a dedication to the game, and she deserves to be rewarded for that. It just goes to show that if you set a goal, and work hard for it, the odds of achieving said goal are in your favor (obviously!). I actually admire her for having a full time job, and being able to do the whole "pool" thing. I love seeing a pool player that has job! :)

This article also gives hope to all other "up and coming" pool players - those that never really thought they had a chance to make it "big", so to speak. I think the article was well written, and it gives off a certain vibe saying, "hey, I can do this too!". This is, of course, just my opinion. Take it or leave it - doesn't matter to me.

Peace,
Amanda

It is not at all hard to understand her making the cover of a pool magazine.

A) She's a pool player.

2) Exposure. The topic has already generated 5 pages of posts on AZB.

I think the point people are making is... If I jump from a C player to an A player by next year, will I be on the cover? All signs point to no. Im too ugly! If I win the US Open, will I be on the cover. Hopefully!

Movie

HHHHHHHMMMMMMMM
So how many people are gonna be pissed off that Borana got cast in the movie?

So many people making a big deal out of nothing, perhaps her being on the cover will sell magazines and bring some more people to the game. I think she is attractive and is a good player so why the fuss? I think people need to find something better to do then rain on someone's parade.

Thank You

Hi everyone,

I just want to thank everyone for congratulating me, I truly appreciate it. I would also like to thank Inside Pool for giving me this opportunity and Lea Andrews for writing an exciting article.

I really hope this will help get more people interested in pool and draw sponsors to support the sport we all love.

Thank you everyone for your opinions and feedback.
I'll talk to you guys later! (I have to sneak out of the house now so I can play all night )

So what?........

To me, it sounded like some folks were giving her a hard time JUST BECAUSE she may not be as great a player as some, and yet, she managed to get on the cover. I have won a lot of tournaments (no US Opens or anything but still......), and I've never been on the cover, and I'm not ugly! LOL! Well, I don't think so anyway. HA! Sure, IP may have used her beauty to sell more magazines, so what? I think the article ALSO covered the determination she has to want to become a better and more known player.

I mean, why shouldn't all the hard work and dedication she's put in, be rewarded? Seriously, there are too many downers in this world already, why add more to it? Let's just all be happy for her that she is advancing in an arena that she loves.

Peace,
Amanda

It's no wonder you are the champion you are!

"A few tournaments" LMAO. You can give most of the girls on the tour the 8! If you were pursuing pool as a career, you would be right up there with Allison, Karen,Yu etc.... I think it would be cool to do a story on a top woman player with a full time job!!

Not only is Amanda gorgeous, she is really a great person too. I vote Amanda for the next cover!

Did I mention, current 2 time Texas Open Champion and winner of the last OB Cues ladies stop?
