About Ohio but if he keeps his head on straight this should be nothing but a pinch in the butt when its over. He could get out very close to having a dagree. The girl at the coffe stand and I were just talking (joking , because one of her friends just got out after 10 years, he was 18 when he went in) how sweat it would be to go somwhere have everything paid for and do nothing but study...her friend read 100's of book while in there

My experience with this is that the publications must come dirrectly
from the publisher, as in a subscription basis.
You are correct that getting mail is a present.
It is also my understanding that inmates in many institutions now
can have internet access, if not in their cell, at least in the library.
I can tell you this from my experience that the toughest two days
in prison are (1) the day you go in, and (2) the day you get out.
Of those two days, the toughest one is the day you get out.

the main difference in hers and his is hers was a misdemeanor and his is a felony
i work in a jail in tn.. all misdemeanor offenders get 2 for 1 in other words a 11month 29 day sentence can be done in 6 months / 3 month sentence in 45 days etc...
felonys usually have a percentage attached ( 7 years at 35 %)or (10 years at 30%) whatever the judge gives them.
now the percentage is the minumin amount of time before they are eligible for parole it dont mean they will get out but they will have a chance.......
just thought i would throw that out there

Maybe you should encourage some of your younger relatives to get an education this way. As an employer, felony convictions are always a plus.
How about working hard and putting yourself through school or starting your own small business and treating your customers like gold?

I like JAM (and Keith behind the curtain--a hell of a shooter as we all know); together they have contributed much to this forum. I hope they reconsider and stick around, for the benefit of us all. Really mean that, JAM.
I have watched this thread from the start. It was only a matter of time before a couple of folks voiced anti-Tony thoughts.
JAM, personally I believe you anticipated that from the start; you said as much in the first post; you knew there were detractors and folks unsympathetic to Tony's situation who would be reading your words.
You tried to set up the thread excluding negative replies, and it took a few days for some to ignore your "rules" and post their own legitimate thoughts. They didn't have to be mean-spirited and personal in doing so; unfortunately they were. I was surprised it took so long... probably our of respect for you two, if you really think about it.
Again, consider taking a break and returning to this forum. We need Keith's insider expertise and your great communication skills here! :smile:

there is no explanation as to how the red rep monster operates. You can be given red rep at any given time for any given reason.
