Well i find this very offensive. She said nothing that should be taken as out of line. Very few people in this world would appreciate being called out without any warning on a lunatic forum like this one and then be told when and where they would play without even a phone call. The OMG callout seems like showboating and a lack of respect. Instead of giving back that lack of respect she said give me a call if you want to play. What's so bad about that.

Actually, if she had only said, "give me call if you want to play," i don't think there would be much to say, it was the "I'm sick of this thread bs" that's stirring things up.

It is a little surprising to me, since if I remember the thread last time, it all went down very nicely and no one seemed to mind that the bet was made over the internet. Not that she isn't entitled to change her mind...but if she was truly sick of the thread bs, she presumably has omgwtf's number as well, and could have made her comments to her in private.

OMGWTF too bad its not up to Just you !! Your are the challenger, you don't control the game. Why isn't there another female challenger waiting? We want to see pool. I'd say ya know OMGWTF I spent the cash-your money and it feels so good to have some of your money- looks like we'll only play for a 1000. Since ya opened your mouth saying 4000. this time mark

I think your right on the money here. Aside from that its really none of our business. Rest assured though if a game is made by phone OMG will spread the news. She's been out of the headlines to long.

- Race to 21
- Rack your own
- Lag for the first break

I think she would play if she were playing me. Im not as good as omg, but id try if I got called out.

I don't think it's that big a deal that Melinda put up a thread suggesting dates & terms for a rematch. Borana's response at first seemed a little harsh, but then I read posts like this:

Borana clearly doesn't care for the specific type of attention these threads produce. If she doesn't want to promote her brand then so be it. Being a pool icon isn't for everyone. She certainly has the potential... maybe she's not ready yet, and will be more public with these situations in the future? Until then, respect the wishes and arrange the money match by phone. From what I can tell,nobody's seriously offended by this, and I'm sure OMGWTF will blog about it regardless... so we'll get to read about it one way or another.

I know I'll be there if it goes down though :p

I would like to see it happen, hopefully in NY. I think it favors Borana a whole lot being in NY with her home crowd. I think her game has gotten better since Vegas as well. If she plays her game, she should win again. Would be too much advantage for her.
