NOT for sale cue's

HERE IS MINE:
not sure how many other names there are along side SZAMBOTI on a cue, but am pretty sure there can't be that many.

this is the first cue i gave to my son, soon after i got it in the late 90's? he picked it from about half a dozen i showed him.

i lost him suddenly two years ago at age 26.

his daughter, now almost five, will get it when she's old enough. i'm hoping she takes an interest in the game.

it doesn't compare to the customs shown here, but it's very special to me.

Here's one I have wanted for many years....and the chase is finally over. :) Kudos to Bill (cornerstone) for working a deal on this cue. Borrowing his pics until I can get some good ones of my own.

Has anyone else noticed that the "keepers" that everyone is posting appear to be pretty plain looking cues?

Ken

Ken, I would say that the "classics" are alive, well, and highly appreciated by many folks on this board....despite some rumblings/discussions in the past week or so. :)

There was no doubt in my mind where that cue would end up... and it is in the right person's hands. Congrats on another great CP Sean!

Congrats to you Sean - I am really happy for you and it seems like that cue belongs only to you - like Jamie mentioned.
I saw it on Bills homepage two or three days ago and first thing that came in my mind was - that cue should be on your homepage

For the interested ones, here are cues I really would have trouble to part with.

Eric"h"

This one was made for me from Richard, and the pink ivory he used is awesome - my "Dancing Wings"

And this pair was made ecspecialy for me from Mike - my long time player and Breaker

Not the fanciest and definetly not the most rare but these Gilbert jump break's play great. This one was made in 98 and has had the same Moori soft tip on it for year's.
These cues are the nuts!!!!!! hands down the best cue for the money. they play great, break like a canon and jump fantastic!

my "not so sneaky" pete with the MOP dots at the bottom of the points......is not for sale....never will be.

Its not fancy but its the 2nd cue I built just on my own equipment, and it hits wonderfully.

A guy asked me if it was for sale the other day.....I said no.....he said ohhh come on everything has a price....

OK.....I'll take 3,000 dollars then......

he was quiet after that lol

The 1st cue I completed on my equipment is not for sale either.....its an old brunswick butterfly cue i converted.....nice ivory joint/hoppe ring/ferrule. Its my one pocket cue.....robleyf came over this past weekend and told me he had hit with all my cues...I knew he hadn't hit with that one b/c something in me said he's gonna love it. I handed it to him and BANG he's head over heels with it lol.......he asked me how much and I told him no sale but I let him borrow it b/c he's going to play the White Diamonds tourney with it......I told him I can do him one just like it so he's gonna hold on to it till I can complete his.

I have to say i was all smiles b/c I knew by the way he commented on the other cues that my onepocket cue would knock his socks off and boy did it ever. Hope he gets in gear with it and knocks some champs out.

I never intend to sell either of these. The Richard Black cue on the left was a present from my wife. The Jim Buss cue a present to myself.

I have found "my" cue. I have others that will not be for sale. Deals have been made to get certain cues by trading and adding cash. The ICCS cue (my avatar) will never be sold either. This cue was fun pursuing. Eric donated this cue (his personal player) at the BCA's in 2008 to the great guys from TAR. The timing was off for me at the time but I remained patient. Then my friend Berny (Cuemasterpieces) posted the most beautiful pictures of this cue.

I made him an offer he couldn't refuse...

Here it is:

Thank you Eric!

Nice cues Derrick... Glad it worked out. ;)

Hickory Burl is pretty awesome.

Congratulations,
Chris

Thank you Chris! Your Sugartrees are outstanding! Eric is at the top of his game now. Every cue that comes out of his shop is a work of art.

Just got this back today.

OK, I wont say this cue will never be for sale, I have no children, but I have let some special cues get away all made for me, a Gus, a Barry, a Schick. This cue is special to me as it was the design I requested and the wood I sent. Dennis told me that from the first time he put the wood on the lathe for the first turn to the last turn the wood never moved. This cue is not fancy but it is FLAWLESS. It also plays better than any of the cues I have had , with the possiable exception of the Schick. This is not a knock on the others I had the Gus for 19 years and it was as good at 19 yrs as day one, and I believe Barrys workmanship was more percise than his fathers. Having the experiance of letting some of these masterpieces go, I intend to hold on to this one.
