New Product: i4pool's SLUG DOCTOR TIGHT RACK SYSTEM

Hi Snake,

Thank you for checking out the SD and for your questions.

Regarding question #1- They can alter but it is very minimal. No more than the spot sticker would affect the roll of a ball. The dot labels are ultra-thin, only 0.06 mm thick. Thinner than spot sticker.

From what I have seen, the only roll-off that can occur is with a ball coming to a stop on it. This is really a rare occasion.

Regarding question #2- Honestly, I decided on just a 9-10ball design only because of your question #1. At first I didn't know how much affect this would have. So with rotation games like 9/10ball and less balls on the table, the less likelihood of clusters being stuck in the racking area. However, the feedback I've received from some is that it also has played fine with all 15-balls. An 8-ball option may be available in the future.

Shawn-- I will PM you shipping to CANADA. Thx. :)

Thanks for answering my questions. I am now even more interested with both your replies and Jay's use and approval of your product.

I was going to have Santa get me a Delta 13 (the cheap one) rack for Christmas, now I need to think about this .

I used this product for two weeks straight and never had a ball that was altered by the stickers. They are super thin. My table is a tough one too because the Sardo Rack put 15 divots in my cloth! The Slug-Doctor even worked with those divots.
Good buy.

Abe is this your design? I picked up a Diamond tournament table with these stickers in September, I was wondering how they got them in the right spot. I shot a couple games after setting up the table and it worked well.

We played an entire tournament (all day) using the Slug Doctor labels and there was never any problem on any shot. The balls rolled right over these labels and it was like they weren't even there. Like Abe said, less thickness than the spot!

Jay- Thanks for your input! I still bummed out that I missed out on AZB Poolfest III.

Abe, I just ordered one (check your PMs) and will post my review of it after trying it out.

PJ- Thanks for the order! PM's have been checked/answered. I look forward to your review of the Slug-Doctor.

Johnny & atthecat- Thanks for your help & feedback! Much appreciated.

Hi Donny- The design of the Slug Doctor Template & Applicator Tool are mine. But, the idea of using these dots on a table have been around. The table you had with the dots were from a different source. I'm essentially selling a tool kit to apply these dots where they need to be. The Slug Doctor "tool kit" is what I designed.

SD convenient too.

This product is nice if you have your own table. I prefer the Magic Rack for its convenience on any table at any given time.

Hi Ill Gotten Gain,

Thank you for your input.

The Slug-Doctor can be just as convenient even for those who do not have a pool table. I, for one, do not have my own pool table. My pool sessions mainly involve me playing/practicing during my work lunch break. I set up the SD (which is very easy), shoot for an hour, and when I'm done I just peel off the reinforcement labels. The Slug-Doctor includes a roll of 200 reinforcement labels. When I run out, I just go to my local staples to pick up some more Avery 5721 labels. The template and applicator tool will experience minimal wear and last you a long, long time!

Best Regards,
Abe - i4pool

Superb.

This is a truly innovative device that automates and greatly improves a simple and elegant solution to creating a perfect rack every time. Best of luck Abe and I hope it does very well for you ! Well done.

I've been posting about this for the last 2 years, but even then people try to bring up faults it might have without even trying it. Honestly, this is by far the best racking system for 9/10 ball and I have tried pretty much everything out there for extended periods of time.

One more advantage with this is that if you have a small ball in the rack, you can easily make it freeze by putting it in the back and slightly adjusting the rings to account for it. I don't think any other rack can rack tight even when the balls are different sizes.

Any chance that Barry might consider a racking system like this for next years US Open?

This year Delta Rack was a sponsor of the US Open 9-Ball. If another racking system wants to step up, I'm sure they'll welcome to pitch a sponsorship proposal.

Royce of OB cues had some on the practice table at the BCA Nationals and we practice on the table all week and we never seen any problem with them. Now keep in mind we were playing 8 & 9 ball, I don't know what effect they would have playing 1pocket. I can't say for sure they were these or similar design from someone else.

Just an ideal, you might invest in a cheap doe rolling pin to press them down.

Archer likes 'em 'leaning'

Hey Abe-

Damn son! Another great idea. Good luck with your product.

We have read hearty endorsements from several respected forum members-congratulations!

According to Johnny Archer-it's not enough that balls freeze to each other-they should be leaning on each other. .....well Johnny...this may be the answer.

Maybe one of our forum members could ask JA to give it a shot to see what he thinks...

Abe-once again-congratulations.

Take care

Hi Papa Red- To clarify, the setup at the BCA Nationals was definitely not the Slug-Doctor. I do not want to take credit for something that is not mine. :)

As for the rolling pin idea, I actually include a step in the setup process to use a pool ball to roll & press the dots down to ensure good adhesion to the cloth.

Thank you for your input and insight!
