Got f***ing robbed today

This is not a good story. Very sorry to hear about it. I don't know this young man but count me in on any donations help. I'm setting in a decent situation myself right now and am able to contribute. Whoever is handling this drop me the paypal info to my pvt msgs. Nothing worse then a theif! Best of luck to the OP in the future.

I just sent Nat a little something that I hope will help. I am hoping there will be others that help if they can. Chris vouching for him went a long way with me since I hold him in such high regards. Good luck, Nat.

Dave

Dave,

Thank you. You guys are too cool.

I normally don't arbitrarily lend money to people or sponsor people, but I will donate to a good cause - especially when people are not expecting it. Mainly just if I can help out and not become a "supporter".

Nat's mom is a music teacher and she supported them as best she could throughout his father's disability. Like most music teacher's, they do it for the love of music and the affection that comes from teaching aspiring musicians.

With all the kids today, all the material stuff they have, sometimes I wonder if we indulge them too much and expect too little in return. Nat is an example of someone who was given the right values at home. This is the kind of person who is deserving of help.

I couldn't send much but hope it helps.

Anything at all is appreciated. There was one crook who stold his money and so far eight people who helped him out with it.

There are a lot more decent people in the world than there are crooks. The crooks just seem to get all the press.

Thanks to all!

Chris

Bummer. Hang in there, a little help is on the way. The world is full of scumbags, every now and then we have to deal with them. Hang in there.

I sent mine. Thought I had more in my account so it wasn't what I wanted but at least it is something to lend a hand. Karma goes around in the world. Best of luck to you Nate.

A small bump to the top before league tonight.
Thanks guys for the help so far. Like I mentioned, it doesn't have to be large to make it count. Even a couple of dollars or a five is all it takes.
Lets see if we can replace the money and maybe a bit extra.

This is exactly why AZ ers are so great.

It sure was nice to come home tonight to see this heading in such a nice direction.

Chris mentioned that Nate holds his mom in such high regard and treats her, as he should, with utmost respect. This is very telling about the young man's character.

I've paypaled a little something and encourage all others who can, to do the same, until you at least recover the money that was stolen from you.

Best,
Brian kc

What goes around, comes around. Good and bad. Everybody needs a leg up once in a while.

Best,

Nat is a very nice and honest young man who could use a little help at this time. He's a friend of mine, a good pool player and as you guys know, his savings cash was cleaned out when his car was broken into recently as he was trying to change banks.

What impresses me about him is how respectful he is toward his mother. He also cared for his father who was a disabled vet before his dad passed away.

He's a student and works part time. $400 may not sound like a lot to us but it was a lot to him.

Anyway, his paypal is: pro9b@hotmail.com

He won't ask for help, but I will ask for him - in case anybody feels generous today.

Chris

I hate to hear of bad times for good folk - I sent a little to help. Hope the thieves get what they deserve...

The American Opportunity Tax Credit

For those students out there like yourself be aware of the American Opportunity Tax Credit for the 2010 tax filing. You get a $2500 credit for the first $2500 spent towards higher education, then 25% for every dollar spent after that. There may be a limit, I forget. I've told several students of this who were not aware. So if you weren't, well this can help makeup for your bad luck. I believe the tax credit will be carried into the 2011 tax year as well.

Someone pm me the remaining balance and his address and I will send him the rest of his money. I dont have pay-pal but I will send him a money order out Monday. Sorry about your luck. Tate...

Hey Chris;

Azer vcfreeman has made the incredibly generous offer to send Nate the remaining missing amount via money order.

Please check with Nate and let vcfreeman know that amount.

I will implore anyone who can do so to continue to help with whatever you can to fairly lessen the burden vcfreeman will bear. We have a little while to do this I suspect, as Chris and Nate are in California. Probably still sleeping.

So, please keep it going a little while longer, whatever you can do.

And Clint, vcfreeman, my hat's off to you, Sir.

Best,
Brian kc
