Who would you say is the most entertaining action players?

Anyone else as tired of this charade as I am?

What a joke.

JAM uses that Keith account like a weapon and people act like Keith could give any kind of a shit what people say about him on the internet. This is the most egregious example of posting from multiple accounts that I know of on AZ and its been going on for years.

Cleary makes a true statement that it looks like Keith is retired and here comes JAM swinging that Keith I.D. like a baseball bat. It's ridiculous. One of the things that happens when you retire is you stop being relevant in discussions of current players. You can't have it both ways. JAM maybe needs to understand that just because not everyone worships certain players the way she does that doesn't make them wrong or deserve a beating with the old Keither account.

Now please lets get on with the message from the Keith account about how its really him. Written with perfect spelling, syntax and grammar no doubt and explaining how I am the bad guy because I don't go along with the charade. The whole thing is silly in the extreme.

Just for your interest, JCIN, everything that's been written on this thread was by me. It seems like you got a hard-on for my old lady, but you sort of need to know what you're talking about. It's just like the last time we had words with each other and you didn't even have the integrity to reply to my private message to you. Not much dignity on your end.

When I come on here and you see my picture on my post, it's all me. If you've got something to say to me, I will guarantee you it will be me writing you back. If you don't believe me, then get my phone number from your partner Chad and call me up if you have any problems with me or about me. I'd be happy to answer all your questions in full.

You might be tired of things on this forum, so am I. I'm a little worn out myself, but when my name is thrown around like a beach ball, I will respond if I feel like I have to, which is a bunch of nonsense anyways always having to explain myself. Goodbye.

TAP, TAP, TAP, Rep to you sir...I have no opinion as to who is using Keith's account I just think someone needs to tee it up to be a part of Cleary's discussion. I vote for Alex and Jason Kirkwood from what I have seen in the last two years. Another one that comes to mind for me too is John Schmidt.

I believe it's Keith posting but one thing he definitely has in common with JAM is misunderstanding the intent of a post and believing they're being attacked.

you got that right. it seems like if you are not mentioning his name in a worshiping way they both feel slighted. i saw nothing in clearys post for either one of them to get defensive about.

I think that it's Keith's comments with some editing help by JAM. A collaboration of sorts. Some of the stories that have come from his posts are definitely from Keith as I have been witness on a view occasions and the stories were very accurate. I like reading the edited versions myself and hope that Keith continues to contribute and look forward to seeing him play again in the future.

How are you coping with the Poker Internet issues? I quit playing but hear there are a couple of sites that US players can still play but cashing out might be problematic.

I'm certain these are Keith's words, possibly typewritten by JAM.

For sure, cleary meant no harm.

I'll never forget the time Keith and Mike Segal were playing a tournament match at the Sands, Reno. Mike had been on a tear all year long and Keith didn't seem fazed at all. They traded games until it went hill-hill with Keith breaking. All eyes in the room were on this game. There was so much anticipation that all the other matches stopped their play just to watch the outcome. As Mike was racking, Keith was at the other end of the table doing his imitation of a Sugar Ray Leonard windup and the place went absolutely nuts. Keith didn't disappoint as he ran out the table from what looked like a situation that most players would've played a safety from. Segal looked like he was sick as a dog.

Most entertaining player I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them - definitely Keith McCready.

i agree with this theory, I know Keith for 20+ years and I cant see him ignoring this. Its not like he is at work at 3PM on a friday when this thread happened. He is home and there. JAM is probably doing the typing.

I agree,i think CLEARY meant no harm or no disrespect!

Just for your information, I shouldn't have to lower myself to give you this information, but I'm far from being dead. I have a Brunswick pool table in my basement. Anytime I feel it's necessary for me to get ready, I don't believe it would take me too long.

As far as the entertainment business, every time I play there would be a couple hundred people watching me and only a handful watching the TV table. I remember when Efren was playing Bustie at the Open on the TV table, and they had to shut it down because the whole joint was watching me and Alex. Even Efren and Bustie were watching.

My playing days are far from over. If I remember right, I didn't pick up a cue stick for a couple years before Valley Forge and on Friday and Saturday nights ran two 10-packs a 7-pack and a 6-pack, as well as came in second place at the Pro Am to Shannon. I made everybody unjoint in both ring games. They didn't want no more of it, Mister. That was all within two days.

So please don't talk about me what I can do and what I can't do. You better realize that peope who do have talent can snap into shape a lot quicker than somebody that doesn't have any talent. And as far as the entertainment piece, I've never had any problems filling up any place I play at. I ain't dead yet.

I believe you're capable. I just wish you were interested enough to play more often. I don't think anyone was trying to say you were "over the hill" Keith. Just that you're not a regular on the tournament scene anymore. I don't get out that much myself anymore. There just doesn't seem to be as much incentive for me since my old road partner Gary Spaeth passed away. Do you remember that ride in Ray Shad's Cadillac at the Starcher's tournament in Akron? Ray almost got us all killed and just barely missed hitting that truck but ended up in the Motel parking lot, just like he'd planned it. You said "Well, you sure ran out in that spot!"

I'm going to have to vote for John Schmidt and Jeanette Lee as the 2 most entertaining action players I have seen. Humor, integrity, grittiness, and fierce desire.

I will also agree with Keith, and respectfully disagree with Chris Bartram's assessment of "it does not work like that." About 7 years ago or so, I saw George Breedlove go to Las Vegas (BCA pro event) and finish somewhere around 4th-8th in a monster field (losing only to Rodney and Ralf who finished 1-2). George had basically not hit a ball in about a year and a half, including right before the tournament (didn't even know where his cue was the day he left for Vegas).

I do believe that the "prodigy" players who grew up with a stick in their hands can regain their natural form fairly quickly when they want to, despite long layoffs...JMO. (I also believe the prodigy players would be even better if they played all the time, though they may not agree:)).

i also saw george not play for a long time and get
beat by lil john even.

Back in the day it was Keith a Louie. It was majic when they matched up.

Nowadays Alex P and Scotty are real high on the on the "enjoyable" list

George who????

George is one, if not the most "under the radar" guys out there. George might have been ranked #1 in the world is he played all the time. Unfortunately for the pool world, we only get small glimpses of his talents. Fortunately for George, he has chosen a smarter financial path in life with his successful business venture(s).

My dream for pool is that talent like Georges should be able to have a comfortable living playing pool. What I mean by comfortable is not having to play in tournaments where the prize fund barely covers expenses. Hoping to get paid. Able to support a family, insurance. They don't have to pull down multi-million dollar tournaments, but have a reasonable living by doing what they are doing. This security should have been developed years ago, but it wasn't. It is our responsibly as a pool community to build that for the generations to come.

But then again...I said it was a dream.
