I shoot with a custom. It's the best hitting cue I've ever had, but it doesn't necessarily mean I would never shoot with a production cue again at some point. And I didn't spend a fortune on it, either. It doesn't make me any better or worse, but what I like about it is the satisfaction of knowing that it's a one-of-a-kind that I designed myself. At any pool hall or tournament that I ever go to, no one will pull that same cue out of their case.
