Have other women players won anything similar in the past?

Allison won 2 mens events i believe when she first came over-one was a Viking im pretty sure. Karen won around 4-5 Joss stops.

Still a helluva accomplishment.

Yep sure, but the affirmation was about an Open/Pro events on the Predator Tour.

She has got to be knocking at the door of "perfection" though.

Hell, I'd be happy if she just touched my cue.

The Joss tour fields were as strong as the Predator fields are today, when Karen Corr was competing in them.

I was only making the point clear. No judgment.

This thread is not about wich women is the best -Jennifer Barretta will not even be on the competing list- but about a strong achievement from herself in a men field. I find myself that her improvement in the last years is impressive.

Anyone have the players list from the week she won? If I remember right it was a very low turnout. Johnnyt

Wow! Jennifer you are amazing! A win over Tony Robles and then an 11-4 whitewash in the finals!

Jenn!

Congrats to Jennifer either way and against anyone!

Momma looks great and is a winner know matter how you look at it. I'd hate to play against her just because she is so damn good looking, I'd be completely distracted. I can hear myself now FOCUS on the game not the opponent! LOL with that!!!

I dont have the players list, but i do remember there being a few heavy hitters n there,i believe she beat sossei 11-4 in the finals,if that is the case, the girls got some serious game n talent.

The link in the first post lists all her opponents. She played 5 total matches and won from the loser's side. Therefore a low turnout tourney. Nonetheless, her listed opponents were heavy hitters.

Not trying to take anything away from Jen winning and beating Tony and the other pro in the event. She had to play very well to beat them both. She is one of the only pro women that get in and mix it up in the opens. Johnnyt

Well Baretta cant hold Corrs, or Fishers Cue, they are not even comparable.......

I've seen Jenn play as good as any female on a tight box... and she doesn't shake for the cash either. Karen and Alison don't have to win...

She beat former BCA Champion Tony Robles and in the final she beat Jeremy Sossei, who came third in the Derby City nine ball event in 2010, 11-4.

Impressive indeed, regardless of who else was there. Also, JohnnyT, as a fellow player at the Amsterdam Billiard Club in NYC, I can vouch personally that she is playing very well these days.
