I think you may have misunderstood my post. I showed your post to Keith, and he, standing next to me, replied this:
"Alex is firing at the money. Scott has got the right people behind him. Alex, as you know, is subject to beat anybody. The one thing good about this game, Scott plays real good when he's playing guys that he's spotting a lot of balls to, so his game will showcase where it looks like it's a lot stronger.
"I believe if Alex can stop Scott from freewheeling, he can easily win this money. I haven't heard lately of Scott beating anybody that can really play. Yes, when he's spotting people 11 to 7, 12 to 7, in that area, Scott is going to look real good. Alex has just got to stop Scott from getting behind the balls. If Scott gets behind the balls, he's going to be dangerous. I have played them both, and Scott does have that edge there in one pocket once he gets behind the balls. So Alex must contain him, and the game will be on. I am looking forward to hearing the outcome.
"As you know, Scott hasn't faired well in the one pocket tournaments lately, but he could show up here for this kind of money. I think Scott does bank a little bit better than Alex. On those tables, you have to be able to twist balls real good, and I think Scott has the edge there.
"As far as on the square, you always have to think the worst and hope for the best. These are two gunfighters, one guy taking a shot at the big money. I know if Alex wins, he might win 60 to 100, because I'm sure that it wont' be over with if Alex wins the first set. There will be another appointment. You can bet on that.
As far as 8-ahead goes, everybody thinks it's going to take 16 hours, it might not take 10. They both play pretty fast, not real slow. I've had 8-ahead sets that I have played that last 2 hours or less, and I expect this match not to go 16 hours, as I was reading about. Over and under, 16-1/2 hours, I take the under."
Does this help clarify, sydbarret?
