Hey Creedo.... I havent read the past 3 pages of this shite thread but you still havent answered my ????? Do you play in events or are you strictly a railbird??? I mean from what Ive seen you a side line kinda guy. Nothing wrong with that but you still havent answered my ???
Its trouble to some to but to most its comfortable then so be it.... just looking for an answer...
Agree on the pics, disagree on the rest. It's looks easy enough to draw it back to the middle of the table area *IF* you can cue a ball. You get no argument from me that she's not capable of hitting the ball good enough to do that, however.
The shot is makable - it's just she can't make it. Either way, it's her choice and besides, the outcome is better than being stuck on the side cushion with the stop shot, or behind the 9 with the two rail run-through. Judging by where the CB ended up, there must've been a slightly unfavourable angle, making it a harder shot than it appears on that caption.
My point is, there are many more worse positional shots than that one!
Thats it. This forum has officially gone to the dogs. Kudos to you sir. A pool player posts in the forum looking for constructive criticism and what does she get? She gets dragged through the mud, attacked in every way possible, appearance, clothing, attitude, you name it. Of course your way of handling this request is a lot better than actual attempts of giving advise. Instead of wasting energy on this we should say: "You suck at pool, and by extension at everything else. You will never improve. You are an embarrasment to pool players everywhere." Under no circumstances should these statements be backed up by any sort of facts. We are being "realistic" after all.
And the dreaded phrase "B-player". I am a B-player and it took a lot of work to get there. I just didn't start early enough playing pool to reach the level of the real pros and even if I did I would not choose to live the life of a professional pool player. I offered some advise that helped me get better but you may freely disregard it. Such is the power of internet advise. You would be wise to let the advise stand on its own merits. Not all good players want the best for you, not all people know what they are talking about. When I first joined AZB it was much better. People were contributing advise, some of which was very good. Unknown players who were not actually world beaters knew suprisingly much about banking, kicking and every other aspect of the game and communicated it in an informative manner. Now threads like this has become the norm. The only forum who actually offer good advise for people like me, struggling players trying to improve nowadays is the 14.1 forum and maybe the other special game forums. Allthough I have enjoyed the CJ Wiley threads, i fear they won't last.
And of course CJ catches tons of flak here on the forum, who does he think he is posting free information on the forum? This forum is solely here to bash pro players and of course the bottom of the barrel: "B-players"
This is not a new trend. Its been going on for some time. Take Mike Dechaine for example a top ranked pro. This forum is full of people who thinks he can't play at all!? They'll have a go at Shane next, then Orcullo. Then theyll say that Efren never could really play and all of his opponents actually dumped. Wtf is wrong with people?
It felt really good venting about this, I have been thinking it for some time, and i think maybe a lot of lurkers feel the same way, but can't know that for sure. I wont post again ever, not that I think anyone cares really, and no, I wont let the door hit me on my way out. Sorry about the melodrama. I really DO know that nobody cares, not fishing for sympathy I'd much prefer it if nobody replies to this post. Really. I just felt like venting.
Hi Emily,
I'd like to suggest that you consider wearing attire other than a short mini-skirt and boots when playing competitive pool. In a match situation, you want to be focused on the table and your opponent, not on your clothes.
excuses and bullsh*t
What if I defend her?
One of the things the the WPBA has going for it is their presentation. I spent a week with them, producing a video, in Hawaii. What a splended organization. They travel together, have fun together and some pray together. On the tables they're fierce. It's a sweet sisterhood. I'm not telling anyone what to wear (or anything else) but, would you rather see ladies playing dressed like ladies or Buddy Hall (my good friend) playing in the nationals...in shorts?
At the end of the day, ALL of these performers we watch are giving us entertainment and asking for nothing in return. What's to criticize?
Keep it gentlemanly. Alfie
PM me your address Allen, if you will. I'll send you my thanks for the post.
BTW, Emily. Your book is on its way. Good luck. A.
Yep their entertaining like a sexy girl in the kitchen wearing nothing but a apron , no one really cares if they know how to cook

Just telling it like it is if the truth hurts so be itOh look, another troll out of the woodworkGotta love the pool nits.....I guess every sport has them....we just have more than the others !!
Derek - did you also see that my gal Tina got engaged this week? Sad week for me.
Thats it. This forum has officially gone to the dogs. Kudos to you sir.
To have a forum comprised solely of wide-eyed nut-huggers is simply unthinkable. That is what this place has become, BTW.
And its precisely why there are B players out there calling themselves "great players" and "pros". Because the mentality here is "Don't question. Don't disagree. Whatever the OP wants to hear is what we should tell them."
Its sad really.

The fact talking about her good or bad gives her exposure
Don't think for one moment she does not know that

I was going to mention this, but I didn't want to seem like even more of a stalker than usual.
