i voted for a race to 75 (i will be buying this one btw!)

however i would also like it be be a race to 100 or 120

That's a great idea, when should TAR expect your $500 for the person to reach 25 games first.

How about a race to 75 but the player who wins 25 games first on each day gets a $500 bonus?

For example, day 1 ends with Orcullo leading 25-19. Orcullo gets the bonus.
In day 2 SVB gets to 44 before Orcullo gets to 50. SVB gets the bonus even if Orcullo ends the day leading 50-44. The situation is the same in day 3. SVB gets the bonus if he gets to 69 before Orcullo gets to 75.

It might help keep the intensity up since there's a fresh stake every day.

would love to see it go back to the days of races of 100.....best way to go imho............mike

I would ask Dennis and Shane, if they disagree have them lag for it. I voted for 75 only because I am going to pay for it either way and really want to see a third day.

If you do 2 out of 3, could you have an under card so we have something to watch on the third day? Can you get Jennifer Barretta to rack all games? Thanks!

I voted 75 but would have voted 100 if it was on the list.... 90% sure you will get my dollars at 75... 100% sure you will going to $100

I vote for the longest race possible. 75-100 games.

I also like the idea of a timed match... play for 3 days, then whoever has the most games at the end of the 3rd day wins. Only problem I could see with this is a player in the lead playing slower and slower as the 3rd day moves on, to ensure they stay ahead.

If there ends up being a re-match, you could change the format to something that more closely resembles the playoffs in other sports. I think that a race to somewhere between 15 and 20 games per set, in a best of 7 set match would be A LOT of fun to watch!

Just to keep things on track: Not interested in if someone thinks they should play an all around of banks, cowboy and snooker. Just long set or multiple sets of one game. I know this will do no good but I had to say it for my own sanity.

This cracked me up. So true. Also wonder who will be the first to ask about dvds. I voted for race to 75 btw. I like the guaranteed 3 days.

Ok...hypothetically if you had say Dennis Orcollo and Shane Van Boening and they were gonna play a TAR match which format would you prefer:

Race to 75 over three days.

Race to 30, two out of three sets.

One way you are guaranteed three days but have the possibility of a blow out. The other way you are guaranteed multiple sets but may only get two days.

My gut tells me multiple sets is the way to go but lately there has been some people saying they want to see these guys in a long set so I wanted to see what people think.

So what do you think is a good way to see who the best ten ball player in the world is over the course of a weekend?

WICKED! No banks, cowboy or snooker. Race to 75 Bumper pool it is.

Good lord, that is one thick box your mind is stuck in.

They'd split up the payout fund differently to account for the daily bonus. So instead of $4000 to the winner and $1000 to the loser, they'd pay $3000 to the winner and $500 to the loser with the other $1500 set aside for the daily bonus.

I would ask the players of what is best for them? and then if there is big difference AZB will settle it. An idea, maybe, play 1st day winner break, 2nd day alternate, and third day 1/2 winner and 1/2 alternate

I stated in other thread why I disliked the 2 out of the 3 sets simply because I was looking forward to see 3days of pool upon purchasing the product, to only find out a player winning two sets in first two days, then third day got cancelled, it happened many times, so the longer race is better so you get to watch all what you really paid for.

Tar35

What do Shane and Dennis think it should be? If they were betting their own money (big money!), I wonder how they would go about it.

Race to 75. I found out about tar after the last series of races to 100, so this would be fresh to me. And I'm disappointed recent frequent missing 3rd day of the sets format.

Alternative: 3 sets race to 30 but make each an independent payout. Guarantees three days.

No box, just reality.

People frequently suggest that there be payouts for this or that, and your post was no different.

Why should the overall fund or payout be reduced to add for something that yelvis wants. Have Yelvis take $500 out and it can be called the Yelvis daily bonus fund.
