Just a couple of quick comments.
First off, the guy from St. Louis is not going to dump anyone. He owns several businesses, has gotten that game from other players for a lot of dough, plays poker with Nelly, and flew in to Louisville on a private jet.
Second, I don't get the double-standard around here. Recently myself another guy were sternly admonished by Jerry. Part of it went like this:
...if I let you two denigrate one another then I have given permission for everyone else to do the same. There is already enough negative crap in the game for a person like myself who would like to see the game gain in respect and popularity to allow you guys to show the world that pool players are a bunch of negative clowns who get off on putting each other down. I just do not see this as the image we need to present to the world of the game.
And so here we are, with this public goat rope, talking about car wash heists, baseless claims of dumping, $40,000 bets on a bar table, coin tosses, the history of dirty money in pool, and all the rest.
Now personally, I don't have a problem with this thread. Pool players are not typically members of the Royal Family and pool is what it is. That includes gambling, hustling, all kinds of characters, questionable revenue streams, variations on all kinds of scams, and woofing.
What I do have a problem with is the double standard. You cannot claim to be concerned with respect for the game, the impact of negative clowns, and the image we need to present and at the same time let threads like this go unchecked.
