Rodney shows up in Reno

Don't flatter yourself. I'll pray for you that you someday may desire to be a better person and be kinder to others instead of slamming people just because you can.

Amen! Maybe that day will come soon and Justin can convert to the ways of disregarding the actions of an individual and blindly praising / kissing his/her ass just because "they're pros so they can do no wrong".

Essentially what you're saying is, if a pro does something people disagree with no one should be allowed to voice their opinions. But if a forum member does something YOU disagree with, its cool to jump down their throats, call them all haters, call them trolls, claim they're the reason pool is so damaged today, etc.. Why are you entitled to express your opinions but no one else is?

Funny - I posted this 'news' in the Rodney thread yesterday and it went ignored.

Rodney's intentions were to play in some amateur event that is in Reno that is not a CSI event ??? and give the field 5 on the wire to 8.

I will also state this - to be fair - I heard from a couple of players that in Sacramento, Rodney was not there to preach against MG or CSI. Whether he did so with some players or not, I cannot confirm or deny.

Oy vey.

What makes no sense at all is that after calling for a boycott of CSI, the very next thing he does at the first opportunity is attend a CSI event, whatever the reason he was there.

Yeah, after reading the facebook posts, I'm sure he didnt mention it at all.

JAM we all know you are Keith McCready's biggest fan in the world and you ALWAYS have an opinion on something pool related. Heck you may be the biggest women pool fan I've ever seen from what I read on some of your post. But the picture you have of Keith under your name is about as feminine as it gets for a man's pic. Keith was a Warrior, not a fairy trying to catch the next rainbow. Do your hero alittle more justice and put up a pic that's shows him looking somewhat more masculine.Seeing him look like a fairy princess is sad. I'm sure Keith would appreciate it.::wink:

Steve,

A month or two ago, I received a group of entry forms in the mail from CSI. They included the Jay Swanson, US Bar Box and the USPPA event you're referring to. If the USPPA event was, even to a small degree, affiliated with CSI, Rodney should have known better. As it was, the CSI logo is prominently displayed on the flyer. Rodney just poured more gasoline on the fire.

You can provide that opinion considering of pure conjecture on your part that he's trying to send some sort of message, but unless you're Rodney Morris, you have no idea why he went to that CSI venue.

What's next? Are we all going to criticize Rodney's hairstyle, his clothes, the car he drives, why he eats beef and isn't a vegetarian? Sheesh!

Why? What kind of car does he drive?

OMG, I thought that was Johnny Archer in his pic.

LOL

I believe you mean the WorldPPA, which replaced the USPPA after POS Toni Annigoni stiffed a bunch of people.

I think that's a good picture of Kieth and I think it was taken at an Accu-stats match
with Morro Paez. In one of the U.S, Open 9-Ball matches.

jhanso...Actually it does fly in the real world...at least in many mainstream sports, where the sports stars are millionaires. They just get fined when they do something "wrong". Problem is that they have too much $$$, and don't give a shit! I say fine some of these overpaid yahoos $1,000,000 and see how they like it. :D Does Rodney's "punishment" fit the crime? Who knows...but what's done is done, and unless he sees fit to bend over and apoligize to MG personally, face to face, his days in at least CSI sponsored events are over. JMO

Oh yeah...and "RICK FLAIR IS ON THE AIR!" LMAO!

It's not as simple as Rodney nut huggers and haters. Lets be honest, we all know that this shit don't fly in the real world, and it shouldn't in CSI's world either.

Below is my belt *****es...

I got one comment:

Showing up at the event was more a sign of "DISRESPECT" then anything else. He INTENTIONALLY went there as his way of saying "F U" in my opinion. His trip to the venue was calculated, planned & malicious.

I have not seen Mark Griffin/CSI go on the attack or any sort of PR blitz. To my knowledge this would have not been made public if someone from Rodney's camp did not come forward publicly to LOBBY public outrage on his behalf.

Mark Griffin/CSI has not added fuel to the fire or gone on the attack. Rodney's friends made this into the public spectacle that it is. His supporters on here are the cause of the 45,000 views and hundreds of post. When the lobbying thing did not work and details began to emerge that sent public opinion on the side of CSI/Mark Griffin, All that was left is to claim foul and garner support based on the beaten he received in the court of public opinion. This beating was self inflicted and the result of a failed attempt to sway public opinion in order to get him reinstated/admitted to the CSI events.

I applaud CSI on the private way they went about things and the actions they took. Rodney needs to make a public statement himself and come on the forum and say his peace. Instead of using friends to send back door messages and numerous attempts at damage control to his public image.

MG statement

Since RM blocked MG from responding to his FB threads or Twitter or whatever it was, it seems odd to me....to think turn around isn't fair play and to be expected.

BS Dave714! That is a GREAT picture of Keith, and accurately portrays how he was always waving his cue around in the air, getting his peeps excited. I believe it's going to be on the cover of his book, so grin and bear it. Personally I think it's a great shot of a legendary player! I only hope the book is filled with tons more pictures, along with what is sure to be great reading (hurry up Jennie...I want to read this before I'm on Medicare! LOL).

KD...Malicious might be a stretch...perhaps calculated or planned, but it could have just been coincidental, since he was in Reno to visit family. "Testing the waters" and poor judgement are likely closer to the truth. At least now he knows...for sure.
