Tony "T-Rex" Chohan is home!

Glad to hear the news. I hope Tony finds a good job so he can help support /contribute to his family. Pool would be a great pastime but is not reliable to bring home the bacon on a weekly basis.

There is a difference between doing something wrong and doing something illegal. Tony made a poor choice and was basically set up, if I remember correctly, but imo he didn't nothing wrong. A victim of a terrible law.

Triple agree

I tend to agree.
Bars sell alcohol legally....
...the medical industry dispenses far more potent drugs....legally.
Grass probably does less harm.

And for the people that want to see Tony back in action....
...you.re going to have to give him a little time.....
....oh shit...:embarrassed2:

weed? you mean that stuff half the country is making legal or trying and he got 7? Things are just re god damn diculous!!

All this time i thought he did something serious.

WELCOME HOME TONY!!!

Congrats to Tony

Also i am very happy to hear this news. I did not know Tony really. I met him at Sharkies i think in Vegas a few weeks before he went in. Seemed like an awsome fellow.

Also myself and looks like everybody will be excited to see him back.

Quick someone back him in the Smoking Aces tournament!!
I will be looking for his name to appear on the tournament header!

playing with the big boys

Sixty pounds is playing with the big boys, on both sides of the law. I seem to remember there was a little something on the side too. You get caught up in a lot more than moving a little herb at this level. I'm sure that Tony weighed risks and rewards before making his choices and I remember people getting over a decade on Angola Farm for a joint. I remember children killed because they stumbled on pot patches in the woods too. Cultivation or over an ounce was a stiff prison sentence.

As far as the sentence, I think Tony got off light. It doesn't really matter. Tony made his choices, he has paid the price society dictated. Time to move on. One thing always of interest, legally someone on parole or probation can't frequent pool halls and bars, I don't know about casinos.

Good luck Tony, I hope for much better times ahead!

Hu...Actually that's not quite correct. Someone on probation or parole cannot frequent bars or poolrooms unless it's to WORK. Tony is a professional pool player...therefore he CAN be in a bar or poolroom if he is playing in a tournament or giving lessons. If I were him I would teetotal while on parole, as he will no doubt be tested at random. Best wishes to T-Rex! I hope you get back to kickin' ass and takin' names on the green felt!

There is more to consider, those you assort with, known places, I forget all the minor details. Mostly depends on the parole officer. I doubt seriously if Tony or nine out of ten pro players could prove that they are pro's to the satisfaction of a pissy judge or parole officer either. "Let's see your last five years that you filed tax returns . . ."

I wish him well but if he is smart whatever else he does he will find a day job, away from bars or pool halls. How seriously he is allowed to pursue pool will be up to him, his employer, and the little tin god that can make him dance like a puppet on a string!

Chohan

I won't discuss it in this non-pool thread, when the subject is now my intellegence. Why don't you start an npr thread, "the moron" and we can take it up there?

Go back and see the threads when T Rex was put in a cage and you can get my take on from those. If I wasn't clear, start that npr thread.

I'm pretty sure most here don't want to go into the whole debate again, especially right now on such a happy occasion.

I agree with you

Trying to condem someone who has paid their time is a crock of sh1t. A disgrace to the game Pidge? You have a deranged sense of fairness . He's not a rapist or murder he just simply got caught doing something he shouldn't have. Not a career criminal or even bad guy. He should be welcomed back with celebration not criticism . I don't think anyone here has not done some things to land their ass in jail if caught. I know I have
Welcome back Tony.... Damn glad to see you back

I hope he gets a job and has realized that pool in the USA, unless you are one or two players, can only supplement your income. Best of luck Tony.
