back hand english

what % of pros use back hand english. as dr dave calls it

In case you thought there would be an answer to this question, and are frustrated by the sarcastic replies you have seen so far, let me disabuse you of your mistaken notions:

Nobody knows. Some people speculate, and there is a LOT of mythical "information" where this guy who plays in my pool hall said he heard from his uncle that Efren Reyes taught him how he applies english, and he totally aims and pivots!!!

But nobody knows.

I think most pros adjust for squirt, swerve, and throw mostly by feel and intuition. They just come down into a shot with the cue along the necessary line for the given shot. For mere mortals, the BHE method can be useful, if used properly and appropriately. For more info, see:

Dave

PS: I didn't invent the name.

I'd have to think most, maybe almost all use BHE, whether they know it or not. As Dr Dave implies, you're just not going to see them "make the back hand adjustment", they will have factored it in from jump street.

When I learned about BHE I soon realized I was already using it to some extent. Once I learned more about it, I used it more and employed it better.

Efren did teach me BHE personally....

The only pro that I know for sure does because he told me how to do it is Efren Reyes...

I suspect there are alot more that do as well.

I dont believe in all that bullcrap, the people that try to promote this and that english have too much to think about,if your thinking about breaking your wrist or dropping your shoulder your mind is in the wrong place,I have never seen anyone hold their back arm still and use their hand hand to develop spin, your back arm is in a swinging motion, your trying to concentrate on stroking st8 why add complication. If efren is using this, its because its natural

Ok in all due respect I will give one and only one serious answere to this, I hope I dont piss him off cause he is a friend of mine,

there is a certain Pro who breaks very very good, I saw him practicing a break(not his only break) with BHE and alot of it. It worked. I shall say no more of this. I will not mention his name, so no guessing games please.

I know one other player who is close to a pro as possible, I believe he chooses not to be, he was showing me and a friend who gives me the 5-out a BHE shot.

So yeah its used, its a tool. I use it. Come to think off it I'd like the 5 out from that guy now that was a while back.

Wanna rep you again dave for the backhand english tutorial on your site. Anothing thing I didn't know about. I can feel my wallet magnetically tugging towards the VEPS 5 disc set.
