BB players Paid !

Lenny,

I did not give you cold shoulders OR I would not had talked to you about Rodney business in the first place! We chat very often on fb even after you joined BB, so I don't know what you mean that I gave you cold shoulder.

The comment that I posted on your facebook picture, I meant every word of it. Fact one, CSI's checks are always good and good to cash on the spot! You cannot deny that.

Fact two, at the time you guys were saying the Bonus Ball would resume 1 August and no one had gotten paid yet. So I said it should hold you guys over until Bonus Ball picks up.

Quote by Lenny: If you all knew what the players really thought about things you would all be stunned

And maybe, we do hear lot more than you think. Certain pro players complained that Mark should had added more money, Mark makes too much money (which is non of their business or they should try to do what Mark does!), that our staff was rude, complaints about tables not being cleaned after EVERY match... and get this...no special pro lounge with special banquet spread... And by the way, none had the decency to come to talk to Mark themselves but post it on facebook or some medial form when Mark always had an open door policy! He always was glad to talk to players and improve. He did not become where he is today without making changes or two.

So do you blame Mark when he says he's tired of dealing with it? All I know is no one loves pool more than Mark! He is the only one who digs into his own pocket to put on Pro Events that most don't even appreciate.

It blows my mind, Bonus Ball is the one who lied to all the players and fail to pay them but who's under the heat?

Mark added total of $60,000 ($10,000/ one pocket, $25,000/ 10 ball, $25,000 8 ball), to Pro Events which ALL have been cashed already and it's Mark who's the bad guy? Do you see any other League Owners doing anything to support the pro pool?

S. G.

Pro pool players excel at being prima donnas and shooting themselves in the foot. Frankly, I'll be surprised if "pro pool" survives this generation.

Sunny, I know your feelings are based on people talking negatively about Mark when does add a bunch of money and puts on a great event for everyone so I understand it. I know Mark does not make a bunch of money off the pro events and is lucky to break even regardless of what some might think. I like Mark, I like the event and also understand he does not have to do the pro events at all because it is not profitable and his reason for doing it is mainly because of his love for pool and top level play.

My biggest gripe was just stuff in the past podcasts and mentioned on the forums which you can see for yourself. It is not productive and much of the talk about scheduling conflicts and hurting events was blown out of proportion. If someone is making an effort and trying to do something I can either support it or just sit back and watch, I would not beat it like a dead horse. One thing is for sure, pool certainly has lots of drama and craziness in 2013, where is a reality TV crew when you need one?

Dog pictures?
Where is there some pictures of Dogs on this forum?

Oh, you must mean the Dogs Playing Pool pictures. I've seen those.

You are right I was trying to be humorous. Perhaps I should go back to lurking.

BB If you get advertisers, I will watch especially if you focus on team play. Faster play with teams vocalizing is a whole new thing for pool I think it could go in the mainstream build it and get eyes on the product people will watch especially if it is ever on TV live.

Good luck Bonus Ball players, company and hopefully new investors.

That's a relief!

Camel "took their money and went home"

And the last time the pros tried to have a voice, Camel took their money and went home. Oh and then they tried with the US Open 9 Ball and got free entries for past winners taken away.

You don't really believe Camel "took their money and went home" do you?

Lenny - does that mean my story with the ambassador of pool will be relayed?

Here was verbatim the conversation -

Me - hey Rodney remember when your ID had to be sent back to you from Missouri last year?

Rodney - yes

Me - well that was me that sent it back to you. Just wanted to introduce myself

Rodney - thanks I appreciate it. (He turns to leave never extending his hand for even a handshake)

Me - (attempting to prolong the conversation). Congrats on your win in the 10 ball

Rodney - yeah, I was due for a victory after 18 years (he whirls to go sit back next to the BB kingpin).

I read somewhere he called himself one of the good guys in pool and compared himself to Tony Robles.

I don't know Rodney. I've been around him a lot over the past few years but we've never talked. I know he doesn't like me because of my opinions on bonus ball. That's fine, I'm not looking to make friends. But I can tell you, if I had a negative opinion about Tony Robles' leagues or his tour, Tony would talk to me and answer any of my concerns or agree to disagree... Not tell people he was going to beat me up.

The Pro players have very little to do with anything that happens in the world of pool, including the prize funds, equipment, rules, accommodations, scheduling, etc. Then, when there's a problem with one of these components the "fingers" quickly point at the Pros???

This all makes perfect sense.

I have seen money moved from One pocket to 10 ball at several events per player request!

I have seen cue balls switched per player request too often to count!

I have seen rules lobbied to call pocket and NO 2 WAY shots!

Accommodations seen players get FREE rooms!

Scheduling PLEASE lets not go there! Schedules rearranged so often, Players at last US OPEN did not have to arrive for the first 3 days!

Player seeding and bye's awarded have all been under pros control!

In my opinion, PROMOTORS need to take back control and call more of the shots! These guys are completely incapable when given to the pros!

Mark should just stop doing pro event all together.

Either that or make it an invitational and bring those guts and girls who are good for the game.

Would it suck to not see great pool Yep. Would I feel sorry for the pros if that had to rely on CW to make a living. NOPE.

Doesn't like the all powerful ABP is strong enough to make sure the players get paid on time or even get to play. What was the point of it anyway?

So you think Rodney will threaten to beat me up now too for relaying what happened?

It's hard to tell but I'm gonna guess we both have better lawyers than he does. My fighting days are behind me... I'm a family man. But one thing is for sure, the pen is mightier than the sword.

Those are all exceptions, and yes there are a couple of players that are "in" with the promoters that do influence decisions. I'm talking about "for the good of the game," not exceptions that positively effect one or two players. This, obviously is bogus too.

Sadly, a purge of the diseased pro players is in order! Starve them out of the game! So, people who appreciate it can take their place!

A pool fans opinion

Just my thoughts as a pool fan:
1. If you need to tell others how great you are.... you probably are not that great.
2. If you feel the need to tell me how bad the other guy and/or product is.... I would suggest using that time and effort in making you and/or your product better.
3. If you are more that just a fan of pool and have some skin in this industry I would really look at "1." and "2." above. Especially if you are posting in a forum where the rest of the pool fans hang out.

With that being said I just got back from Vegas playing in the BCAPL championships, I have bought about every stream TAR has put out, I bought a couple of weeks of Bonus Ball, I go to the Derby City Classic every year, and I buy as much stuff from the Vendors that I can. Why.... because I love pool and want to support the people, players, promoters, etc. that keep this sport and my passion alive.

Want to know whats wrong with pool...... Nothing! It is a beautiful sport that has been around for centuries and will be here for centuries to come.

Want to know whats wrong with the pool industry...... Not sure, but I think if we follow "1." and "2." above the pool community would be in a better place. Plus you will keep getting my money/support, however insignificant that is in the grand scheme of things. But who knows maybe there are a couple of other people out there that feel the same as me.

Just a pool fans opinion.

I hope bonus ball succeeds. but we need to hurry up and find out cause the Dp Double J show gotta lot of money out on this road to pick up if it ain't comin back.
