Best food you've ever had at a pool hall?

Hollywood Billiards in Hollywood, CA. Since we fix the tables there, I get to try out pretty much the entire menu. Have not found a single thing I did not love there. Cheesecake and Catfish are the stone cold nuts.

Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica had pretty good burgers as I recall.

Jointed Cue in Sacramento had really strong burgers and shakes. The last 2 below In N Out. :p

Gaslamp in San Diego had good food, but I think its closed??
I have to agree with your assessment of Hollywood Billiards, they do a real good job with their food. Their lasagna was my favorite but then they took it off the menu.:(

Also agree with the burgers at Jointed Cue - real good.

Gaslamp Billiards changed owners (and changed their name) and the food hasn't been quite the same.

For gourmet pizzas, I highly recommend Society Billiards in San Diego.

but the best thing was they always served coke in the bottle and ice cold, great on a hot, humid day. Coke always seemed to taste better out of the bottle vs. can.

That is an absolute fact.

Before Metro Sports Bar stopped Liquor Sales, and Started Liquor Sales the Food was equally as good, as the lady who Ran the Kitchen made everything from SCRATCH. Sadly most Bars/room seem to have nothing more than a Deep Fryer, and Microwave, and the Menu is right out of what is available at CostCo.

Understand the "NEW" Place in Town Sweet Tooth Billiads has good coffee Drinks, and Ice Cream Specials?

the poolroom (thats the actual name) in duluth, ga. has great food. the last time i was there, the service was great also.

Yankee Cue Club in York, PA. Pizza Steak sammich...$4.00 w/ fries. Chicken-fried steak w/ mashed potatos and a veggie, $5.xx, Chicken& waffles for $5.xx.

$1.25 Heinekin bottles too- hell I don't even like the green stuff, but it is worth every penny there!

Lindstrom! I am HOOONNGREEEE!

Bankshots in Jacksonville FL

They had a killer chicken salad, just incredible....not like a grilled chicken salad with a few strips of chicken across lettuce....you know, the old school similar to an egg salad.....I looked forward to Sunday tournies up there just so I could enjoy lunch :D

Another room I have to give credit for incredible food to is Diamond Billiard Club in Chattanooga, TN. Davey Crockett has a special made from scratch every day. (anything from chicken and dumplings, to lasagna, to meatloaf, to brisket, you name it he's cooked it for the special) Davey is a most deffinite foodie, so when he has one of his specials go out of his kitchen door, it needs to meet his expectations of what good food is. I"ve never been dissapointed in the results.
Amen.

Dave puts on a spread for his daily specials and it is always good. The regular menu items like appetizers, sandwiches, salads, fresh made pizza and entrees are killer too.

Sams Billiards in Portland just about everything is good but I love the Roasted Red Pepper bisque.

Paradise Billiards in Corpus Christi have daily specials and I had some great Talapia there

Starship Billiards in Decatur, Illinois. The place is packed at lunch time with people from all over town NOT POOLPLAYERS great everything.

Smokehouse Billiards in a little town called Florence Alabama. This place takes some getting to but it has been a pool room for over 80yrs and hasn't changed much. The food was amazing, Stew was unreal, the burgers and Chilli all made from scratch old time food greasy etc I could actually hear my artarys slamming shut as I at the burger MMM

down town jack in Leuven /Belgium has a Down town Jack special hamburger, that is to DYE for :) i eat it at least once a week.

If you're ever at Doc 'n Eddy's in Albuquerque NM you have to try the beef enchiladas with red chili.....consistently great!
:p

Mmmm mmmm good!

During Sundays in football season Keith smokes up a prime rib meal that will absolutely knock your socks off and you'll definately be back for more!

I believe it is the Chattahoochee Billiard Club where I had the best club in my life. It had turkey, ham, bacon, and hamburger. I'd never had a slice of hamburger in a club and it was amazing.

That was about three years ago and it was so good that I still think about it to this day :)

Once upon a time...... Mother's in Charlotte. In it's early years we would stay around there for months at a time and always enjoyed their food.

Also.... the Mexican food at Romine's from years past was OOOHHHHHH so good!

Last, and my BEST...... when they had McDermott tournaments or other large events, The Break - in Cahokia, IL (near St Louis) cooked these AWESOME RIBEYE STEAKS! Terry Heulsman cooked them out back on the grill and I'm here to tell you that if you were trying to play a match when they were cooking, you would get the worst case of "stomach sharking" that you could ever have! They were simply hands down the best ribeye I've ever had.

Gosh, now I've made myself hungry....... I'll be back - I'm going to eat.

Mmmm mmmm good...part 2!

My home pool hall also has some absolutely GREAT sandwiches such as the Hustler Club. Their burger is World Class IMO and I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a hunger for something good!

Oh yeah, they're still putting those steaks out everytime the Midwest 9-Ball Tour comes through Cahokia! Your absolutely right that they are awesomely tasty!

Stix in Calgary used to have great food when Jerry Charlton was still running the show and it was a "pool hall". It was about the level of a Earls, Joey Tomatoes, and other mid range semi casual dining places.

Romines has a VERY good Mexican restaurant. I would probably say the best I've had off the very big menu would be the nachos or the Enchiladas. But if a pool hall has its own restaurant, does it count into this equation?
