Bill Incordona vs John Hager $10000

This just in...

Via the grapevine, Billy Incardona is playing Tony Chohan, a 7-ahead set, for an undisclosed amount. Billy is getting 9 to 6 from Tony in one-hole.

I just got the word too.

Billy gets 9-6 and 2 of 3 breaks for $20000. They are playing in Detroit.

I know Tony is playing well, but, I will take a ticket on Billy. (-6 and the break is one hell of a lot of weight and for 20 dimes, Billy doesn't make many bad moves.

I think Billy's got the best of this game. I mean, Tony is a great one-pocket player, but giving Billy this kind of spot, if Tony makes one mistake, Billy has got to like his end of it.

I'd be interested in how long the whole set takes. :p

I think Billy has the best of it on paper, but Tony is the real deal and moves balls towards his hole better than anyone since Ronnie. I don't play near Billy's speed and was playing Tony a similar game (much cheaper) a few times before he went back east and I found out he was stalling with me when we jacked the bet. He is a monster when things are going right and is liable to outrun anything and anybody. Too bad we can't get a video of this match, it should be something.

Hiya John, I've watched Tony play one pocket a fair bit myself and I agree with you that he's a monster these days.....That said, I have to agree with the other posters and say that I think Billy's got the best of it with this spot - IF, he plays his best game - if he doesn't play his best, than Tony could get the cheese.

I agree with you Guys, except that I have had the oppritunity to see Billy play lately and things are just going his way and he has that ATTITUDE right now, and I know you both know what I mean. He jis just really enjoying playing right now and has a real nack for getting many advantages i his corner.

They are playing at the Rack {Lamakos's place} and right now Billy is 2 games ahead playing 7 ahead.

Will post more as I hear it.

The pockets are around 4 1/4 inch and tight, but, not ridiculously so. They are fast, but not teribly slick which gives an honest play. I've heard no complaints about the tables or lighting at all.

Video equipment is to be mounted very soon which will enable us to tape all matches and the intent is to show these live via the internet. This is going to take a while to be set-up and tweeked, because we want to get it as perfectly as we can as to avoid a lot of problems from the past. There are likely to be problems, we just want to take every precaution and put out a great product.
4-1/4 inch pockets are pretty tight. In other words, two balls will not fit side by side between the points? That sounds great for one-pocket.

The internet thing sounds lovely!! I imagine you'll get a lot of interest if it's a reasonable price for the feed. Just make sure there is PLENTY of bandwidth, or server oomph, or whatever it takes for good live feed.;)

Will be watching with interest as things develop.

I may have mis-quoted the pocket size as I am guessing. They are tight enough though. Not buckets.

All the internet bugs are being worked on now.

Even with Billy getting that spot, I like Chohan here. I can't be the only one.

If/when Chohan hits his high gear, he's capable of running 9-and-out from anywhere. I figure Billy will get 3 or 4 ahead, then Tony digs deep and takes the set from there in a night or two.

Both players are very capable of running 9 and out. I guess we shall see.

I haven't heard anything in a couple of hours. I will call in a bit.

It's over!!!

Well, it barely took 4 hours, but Billy took it down.

Billy is obviously wanting to play another set and I guess the bs is going on now.

billy the handicapper

This may have been brought up before, but I have heard that Billy is very good at guaging matches and rarely does he book a loser....I guess recent events really bear that out..........

Ironman,

Thanks for the info on this thread.

I wish we in Pooldom had a daily newspaper that we could read each day with the goings on about what's happening....until then.....we rely on guys like you and others who post up what they know.
Thanks again!

Iknow Tony is a champ but Billy isn't a chump. 9-6 is the world. 9-6 and 2 out of 3 breaks is over the top. Tony will have trouble getting out of Billy's break and it will put too much pressure on Tony. Tony's high gear will then be lowered to a gear that will not allow him to have a chance to win. The only way for Tony to have a slim chance of winning is to get out of the breaks and play like burning hell. When playing a good player (Billy is a good player) and you are giving heavy weight and the breaks, your burning hell game just simmers at best.

WHAT??>>>>>

I have been sitting over there crafting a nice response to the possiblities and the match is already over. WTF?

This has to be the highest paying profession in the world. $5,000 per hour
is sweet money. That's it I am going to be a pool player. :p

Thanks for the heads-up.

It is a great hourly rate indeed.

Billy has been known as one of the great match-up artists for a long time. He is tough to bet against. That is the reason I went the other way.

I witnessed the match between he and Chris Bartrum week before last and was really impressed with the way Billy Played. Chreis won one game and many were not even close.

Glad Billy took it off

I certainly don't claim to be even remotely close to the everyday happenings in the world of matchup pool, but I love to watch/bet the action.

It is no secret that Tony woofed at Billy a number of times at DCC, and as far as I know (I was there 4 days), they couldn't get the game right.

Well, it is obvious that Billy got a game he liked and took it off without wasting much time - 4 hours, wow!

Billy, as someone not too far from your age bracket - congrats and keep it going. I'll be one of the first to buy the video regardless of who you play.

Your commentary ain't bad either!

Someone tell Billy, Tony, John Jr that we got a 'Freezer' here in STL for awhile & that sounds like good action for me to sweat.

It is great to hear John Jr playing again. I agree with 1on1 that he is a standup guy and for somewhere to make a reference towards something they know nothing about is out of line. John is fun to be around, has a TON of heart & I have won some good $$$ betting on him. Twice in fact when he robbed T-Rex. I might give John a call tomorrow just to see how in fact he is feeling since there is all of this speculation.

1on1, you should come to STL also. At least to do some fishing.

LovetheGame---good to see you make a post and hear from you.
