I just got the word too.
Billy gets 9-6 and 2 of 3 breaks for $20000. They are playing in Detroit.
I know Tony is playing well, but, I will take a ticket on Billy. (-6 and the break is one hell of a lot of weight and for 20 dimes, Billy doesn't make many bad moves.

I'd be interested in how long the whole set takes.![]()

I don't play near Billy's speed and was playing Tony a similar game (much cheaper) a few times before he went back east and I found out he was stalling with me when we jacked the bet. He is a monster when things are going right and is liable to outrun anything and anybody. Too bad we can't get a video of this match, it should be something.
1 Pocket Ghost said:Hiya John, I've watched Tony play one pocket a fair bit myself and I agree with you that he's a monster these days.....That said, I have to agree with the other posters and say that I think Billy's got the best of it with this spot - IF, he plays his best game - if he doesn't play his best, than Tony could get the cheese.
4-1/4 inch pockets are pretty tight. In other words, two balls will not fit side by side between the points? That sounds great for one-pocket.ironman said:The pockets are around 4 1/4 inch and tight, but, not ridiculously so. They are fast, but not teribly slick which gives an honest play. I've heard no complaints about the tables or lighting at all.
Video equipment is to be mounted very soon which will enable us to tape all matches and the intent is to show these live via the internet. This is going to take a while to be set-up and tweeked, because we want to get it as perfectly as we can as to avoid a lot of problems from the past. There are likely to be problems, we just want to take every precaution and put out a great product.

The internet thing sounds lovely!! I imagine you'll get a lot of interest if it's a reasonable price for the feed. Just make sure there is PLENTY of bandwidth, or server oomph, or whatever it takes for good live feed.![]()
Will be watching with interest as things develop.

If/when Chohan hits his high gear, he's capable of running 9-and-out from anywhere. I figure Billy will get 3 or 4 ahead, then Tony digs deep and takes the set from there in a night or two.
ironman said:Both players are very capable of running 0 and out. I guess we shall see.
I haven't heard anything in a couple of hours. I will call in a bit.
ironman said:Well, it barely took 4 hours, but Billy took it down.
Billy is obviously wanting to play another set and I guess the bs is going on now.

I have been sitting over there crafting a nice response to the possiblities and the match is already over. WTF?
This has to be the highest paying profession in the world. $5,000 per hour
is sweet money. That's it I am going to be a pool player.![]()
Thanks for the heads
It is a great hourly rate indeed.
Billy has been known as one of the great match-up artists for a long time. He is tough to bet against. That is the reason I went the other way.
I witnessed the match between he and Chris Bartrum week before last and was really impressed with the way Billy Played. Chreis won one game and many were not even close.
