I'm glad I have signatures turned off so I don't see an advertisement every post, lol.
To Schmidt, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This is how it looks on every computer I've used. Also on my phone. LOL I had no idea what the problem was until you posted that... I'll fix it for ya.
Until about 1950 Brunswick owned pool in the US. I think only the players who worked for Brunswick could make a living at it. I assume you do not mean a manufacturer.I kind of like the idea of a huge pool "corporation" owning the major share of the professional portion.
NFL owns football, NBA/basketball, PGA/golf, etc.
Does anyone have an estimate on how much money a player can make while under contract to BB in one year?

On my screen it is split also, I am using Chrome. If I shrink my window so it isn't large enough to contain both halves then it wraps around and creates the correct image.
John I appreciate your comments on Bonus Ball, I have tried to watch it previously and when all the kinks are worked out I will probably try it again.
BTW John you have only been away from the forum for about 3 months, it probably felt like 8 months because you missed it so much!
At one time the money in golf (and tennis for that matter) was about the same as pool is now.
He doesn't have his codes compatible with IE.
Very good post from John here. I accept, in full, his premise that it's a good situation for the pros. Guaranteed income, reduced expenses compared to tournament travel, a nice arena, teams.
Still, the players are part of the product and their compensation is tied to the sustainability of the enterprise. Every Bonus Ball player should be singing the praises of the WPBL, regardless of how they feel about it. If I am considering going to a specific Broadway show, I will ask somebody who has seen it what they think of it. I will not ask the owner of the theater, the director of the play, or the actors and actresses, all of whom have a financial reason to recommend it, for their input.
After all is said and done, what matters is whether this is a pool product that satisfies people watching the game. Hence, in the end, it's only the opinion of viewers that will matter when it comes to the vitality of the WPBL.
Good luck to all involved with Bonus Ball. Looking forward to the next match.
chrome is good and most likely Firefox is also but not IE. I just avoid the threads I see he posted in when on IE lol

He opens with basically how much he hates the site and then wants to use it as free advertising and of course he like BB what else would he say.
Cleary,
What's up with this?
Is your banner add supposed to be so wide?
Looks split in two to me..
Hi again ,ive not posted or read a single word on azb for 8 months because of to much negativity and I dont this place is productive for me for many reasons. After this post ill be gone for another 8 months.
That being said i think the bonusball crew has done a great job.
The players luv the team concept, the arena, etc.
Myself i think its great and about time somebody came along and used the same ideas that work in main stream sports.
The guys who run azb, mark griffin, justin of tar,the diamond guys, pat fleming, jay helfort, charlie williams [im sure im leaving many promotors out] have done tons for pool and the pros, and are all good people and have the pros best interest at heart, now larry chiborak has joined that group.
So good luck to all the fans, players and promotors ,live and let live .If everybody works together and gets along pool will be strong and survive or if not it will turn into drive in theaters ,everybody remembers those.
In closing this bonusball league is the greatest thing to come along for the players and im thrilled to be a part of it.
They have done so many things right, and made it where the expenses are so little for the players.
Everybody that knows me knows i like to play different games, bonusball has a little onepocket,14.1,9ball involved and a shot clock, which is long overdue. The games fun to play and extremely challenging. A 60 point run is awesome at this game.
Get out and try the game people you will like it if your open minded.
Thats my 2 cents peace out.
ie is only goof for one thing. Downloading Firefox and Chrome.
Your inference skills are suspect here. He addressed his poor typing, there wasn't an attack on anyone.
What he needs is a mac.... which has voice to text built in - conveniently I might add; Hit Fn 3x and suddenly it's typing your words including punctuation with only minor edits required. Problem. Solved.
I get that BB is a bit complicated, which is the last thing people need to be challenged with if generating interest is the goal.... but if its consistent, people can grasp it.
To those of you whom BB threatens to dilute the attractiveness of your projects, that's the nature of free will. Make something more attractive, and the people will go there. Ever had a beautiful lady leave you for someone else? It's kinda like that. And now you're telling her she'll regret it for a myriad of reasons. Just THRIVE in the absence of them. SHOW them they made a mistake. Make your product BETTER. If you can't, then you need to find a way to live within a new paradigm, for however long it lasts.... fling or marriage. People are autonomous.
I share your concerns that it may cannibalize opportunities by creating needless conflict. It's regrettable the approach was taken. But why not be a diplomat and persuade them? If you fail to compel such a shift in attitude, its your persuasion to blame, not the unpersuaded.
This is business. I have customers who opt to pay MORE for the same product I have from other vendors. Or to purchase from people without warranty when we stand behind our product. Free markets do that.
