I am not as patient as Shane. Actionhound agreed to be one of the backers of John Schmidt in the Ten Ball Ring Game at Derby City last month. He was the only one who didn't send me the money before hand, stating that he would be in Louisville (in several PM's) and would pay me there. He added that he was friends with John and alluded that he was coming with him.

I took him at his word. Shame on me. And made him one of the ten backers. If John had won, he would have gotten his share, and I think he knew that. As it was he wasn't there on time, and I put his $300 in for him. He PM'd me thanking me and telling me he would get the money to me. STILL WAITING Actionhound! He has, subsequent to DCC, sent me two PM's telling me he was setting up a PayPal account, and a final PM telling me the check was mailed. That last one was over a week ago.

Be careful of this guy, Jeff is his name. Thats is all I know and he lives near John in Pensacola. Do not trust him on any deals. You have been warned. He sounds good via e-mail and PM, but he is NOT! A very convincing liar!

If I do get the check I will let you know.
 
All this needs to be put to rest. If you make a bet or agree to put up something money or otherwise pony up. This forum from what ive seen is full of good people who are willing to trust you. If we have people not following throuhg with their comitements it cast a shadow on all of us. We have a good community here lets all show the respect it deserves.

Jay, I feel your pain.

Surely John Schmidt wouldn't hang out, be friends with, or be associated with such a liar as well.

I just wish I had a forum where I could call people out that owe me money.

The first year we set up the AZB room, we had at least 15 members promise to "pay when I get there." Almost none of them did.

Doesn't look like things have changed much.

We've come to the conclusion that CASH ON THE BARRELHEAD IN ADVANCE is a good policy.......but you already knew that.:)

Now that you mention it, I do. Thanks. It would be more helpful if I could remember those that didn't, but this damn Alzheimer's seems to be kicking in (though I remember Sweet Marissa did NOT; wonder why that sticks with me when I've forgotten the names of my kids).

I guess I did that here. I was hesitant to bring this up, but it has been a month now and it looks like nothing is happening, except total BS.
 
This gives AZer's a bad name. Most of the guys Ive dealt with are great. K TownD. iba, Roy Steffenson, Joey from Cali have been upstanding guys. And especially you Jay who hunted me down when you lost a sweat bet to me. Hope the sucker pays up or gets blocked out.

I agree,Corvette1340 paid me the next day,thx Vette.
 
Yeah I thought it was funny too that his headline says "Put it on the light" that is seriously messed up. I hope you get paid Jay. Its funny how this guy logs in and everything but doesn't have the balls to get back to you. Boo is right Jay!

I get your point but this wasn't gambling per say - it was a share in backing Mr. Schmidt. Different to me. JMO.
