Its the former. OMGWTF rejects backers to play on her own dough. She hunkers down, actually mapping out her practice table time against the expense, eats Top Ramen, and saves up her stake.

If you knew her, you'd dig her, she straight ahead with a lot of gamble.

I wish that were true. It looks like that ultra cool acceptance has turned into some crawfishing about the date and worse, some unwarranted and silly accusations by her backer.

I'm bummed. This was going to be an event that was going to be good for pool and both ladies involved. I was looking forward to the stream and had actually booked a little action already, all based on Boana's apparent eagerness to get in action.

No flight dates changed.

No tournament date changed.

It seems that all that has changed is the willingness on one side.

Bummer.

speed?

I'm sorry, a C+ doesn't play like that. Read below. Also she said Merissa!!, Quit knocking my action. She didn't want anyone to know who she was, especially us. I think that it is very underhanded. Borana can do what she wants, but trying to keep her real identity secret is very low.

If I remember correctly Borana was going to put $1500 of her own cash up and her backer was going to put up a mere $500

That backer has made some unclassy posts in my book and if it were up to me I would say they should just play for $1500 of their own cash period and let the backer backpedal his way out of this match and these threads while we say, "good riddance."

Ok... so is this game happening or not???

At first, it seemed like late on the 14th would work. Now it seems like it won't work. Then Jim Murnak jumped in and added a degree of silliness to this whole thing. Now I just don't know what's happening! :confused:

Seemed to me like it was still happening and that Lenny was offering to make the 5 hour trip to stream it (hats off to ya Lenny!). So is it gonna happen?

As best as I've been able to ascertain, both Lenny and Melinda have more flexible schedules and are willing to allow Borana to tell them what day & time works best for her schedule since she doesn't have as much flexibility as they do. We're awaiting her response.

Mr. Murnak, while not having his brightest moment yesterday is still an ok guy that does a lot for the pool world. Both friends of his and strangers did everything they could to point out that he misunderstood the situation and did not fully comprehend what was going on. It is probably safe to say that we have all had that happen a time or two. The difference between people is how they handle it. If it had been me and I was Jim, I would apologize to Ms. Huang for the derrogatory comments that were unwarranted.

Lenny, on behalf of those of us that cannot be in Vegas this yr I would like to sincerely thank you for agreeing to bring your equipment to vegas and lose some quality time with your friends in order to stream this event. Thank you sir! :thumbup:

A couple of factoids for your (or anyone's) potential commentary.

A. omgwtf once single-handedly shut down the Belagio buffet. Ok, not the whole thing. Just the steak, seafood, chicken, Asian and dessert sections.

2. omgwtf once built a custom cue case out of used Glad bags, left over Simonis and duct tape. She decided not to worry too much about the interior protection (padding vs nylon cloth) of her custom Hunter cue.

True story(s).

I'm just saying. You know how it goes from here. She says she really wants to and the date is fine, and then its not fine and then something else comes up and another thing and its really one person really wants to do it and the other wants to appear that she wants to do it.

I'm bummed.
