dear sir ?
Dear Sir/ Mr nOrisc,
As someone who used to play around with streaming a little bit ,may I ask how you propose to bring live,hd, content when the bandwith is lacking on the sending side. Your page and servers may be high end but what happens when the streamer out in the field only has a low end DSL upstream to you ?
In the past the only way this could of been avoided was to make plans ahead of time and get the room or streamer to pay for a better upload rate to be available.Having spent alot of time dreaming and planning this out myself the only thing I could come up with to assure a "true" HD stream in 1080i or beyond would of been something like the rig below with a dedicated server to send to much like what you are proposing .Believe it or not my delusions of grandure kept me out on the road for over 18 months and I had a great time ,met alot of great folks, learned a few tips from the pros and got a little closer to figuring out what it was I really liked doing .I priced a couple used rigs like the one pictured and have friends in the broadcasting business who really worked with me and pointed me in the right direction on some issues.
Hope this works out for you and you get a little more support than I did back then . It's hard to get sponsors but maybe some of the guys like TAR ,Big Truck , and Lenny that stuck with it have loosened up the ground more than it was then .
Try not to listen to the haters and do your best to live and let live. I used to argue with another streamer on here and now feel sorta foolish for doing it .It really did not matter if I was right or wrong ,as a wise man once told me "being right is no excuse for bad behavior" .Well I just noticed this post and that you started off sorta off key with a few folks .From experience I can tell you , it really ain't worth it to argue on these forums or have any bad vibes going on . Do what you want to do and let your work speak for itself . Hope it all rolls your way .
