I think almost all tables play too fast. I don't like Simonis, I think it makes the game too easy. Gorina is my favorite.....
I prefer slow cloth, where you must possess a pure and powerful stroke to move the cueball around. Fast cloth means that nearly anyone can move the CB to its desired landing spot.
I like having to smack the ball, I like forcing position from a small angle, and I like that if my opponent's force/power/draw/follow stroke is weaker than mine, I have an advantage.
Fast cloth often means that lesser skilled players can still achieve their desired position, even if they don't have any stroke power.
Simonis cloth leads to too many breaks with 3 balls down, and an easy runout, and too many instances where they picked up the wrong angle, but they can recover easily because the cloth is fast.....I say make the good players work for their runouts.
Make them (us) play precision shape, where you need some ability to execute the shots, instead of this glass table where you can never let out your stroke.....
(This may be the only time I've ever agreed with Kevin Trudeau, except when I bought that damned "Natural Cures" book!!!)

JMO, I know a lot of you guys live and die by Simonis, but I'm a hardcore traditionalist... (
and bring back mud balls)
