YEAH, because people don't like Charlie and are able to make lists of people who would be a more appropriate captain than him, it's gotta be racism. Couldn't just be a bad decision and Charlie couldn't just be a complete douche bag, it is because he is....... Asian?
Personally, I don't like Charlie because he is kinda short and his haircut sucks. The color of his skin doesn't bother me a bit.
I'm guessing it's something like this: If pool was a high-level sport in the media, the media would have a field day with this b/c of Charlie's past "accusations."

Obvisouly there are some underlining issues with CW and something he's done that I don't know about. Well whatever... There are a lot of professional athletes I think are just terrible people but they have a job to do and they do it. You may not like the guy but so what.... Don't pay attention to him!!! CHeer on your heros!!! The men that are under the gun!! The men sweating over every ball!!! The guts and stamina it takes to play in this event is numbing and Ill be rooting them all on regardless of who the captian (who wont even pick up a cue!!!!) is!!!
This is the problem with pool and its sicken!! All this negative BS that people bang on about. Just like when Hatch choked a little bit last year on that draw shot. So quick to throw him to the lions and all that other stuff he did to get his team to that point was forgotten. All those efforts went right out the window!!!

He is saying that people have given Charlie a chance (as you suggested) in the past and that their current negative assessment of Charlie comes from that chance they already gave him.
So when a baseball player drops an easy catch in the world series, ESPN is not gonna air that, I mean look what they did to get there?

You suggested people should give Charlie a chance. I am suggesting the possibility that some of those responding in a negative way may have done just that in the past and that is the reason for the negativity.
Also calling people who posted something you didnt like "shitheads" and throwing out the race card in the same post that you are calling for tolerance amused the hell out of me.
I just have a goofy sense of humor at 8:30 in the morning after no sleep since Sunday morning. I'm sure if we all band together we can make it through this. Mikey is going to be a handful from here on out though.

All I can say is that Team USA had no shot to win the Mosconi Cup. Now with Charlie Williams at the helm, I can't see how they can lose. Team USA is stealing!
