Congrats to John for his new personal best run of 403!!!!

OB Cues stopped by Q-Masters early this evening and handed John (their sponsored player) a new butt to try with the OB-1 shaft. John immediately went on a run, 100, 200, 300,400 and then the dreaded 1 ball that stopped his previous high run at 400 surfaced again at 403!!!

Congrats John - it was an honor to watch it live!
 
Wow, JS is at it again! way to go John! somebody is going to have to follow JS around with a video camera because Willie's 526 may be in jeopardy!
 
Congradulations John. Keep them coming. By the way you beat my high run for today by 400.

This is damn near unbelievable. To manage 2 400 ball runs is incredible to say the least. To anyone that plays straight pool, it aint' easy to run 100, much less 400. The focus and concentration have to be big time in tune.

I hope I don't jinx John, but this is not a bad "stroke" to be in prior to the US open.

Congratulations won't mean squat coming from me as John Schmidt doesn't know me and I don't know squat but this accomplisment is significant and I'll betcha that down the road a few years it will be seen as one step along the trail to the worlds best run EVER!

I hope I'm around long enough to say I said so way back in 07. :D
 
It's just a darn shame

that it wasn't 409, so we could all sing 'Giddddy-up, Giddddy-up .... 409' again .... LOL

Congratulations, buddy! Mr. 403 doesn't sound right, does it? It may only be 3 more balls, but having had the same high run for over 7 years - I would take 1 more ball or 2 - gladly... my only question (as always) is what the hell happened on ball 404? lol

Once again, congratulations and good luck in your match against Danny - I'm sure you guys will put on one hell of a show!

How long does it take him to run 403? I'm just flabbergasted... 403!! As someone said.. the concentration/focus is remarkable!... astounding!!!
 
In the Azbiliards Straight Pool Forum, we have a little contest that runs throughout the year for the highest run in straight pool...

Last year John won that with a 245.
He'll probably win it this year with the 403!

I want to see Mosconi's official and Mike Eufemia's unoffical runs broken. I think John is in a perfect position to do it. So I am offering a prize of $1000 for the first person who posts an uncut and unedited video of themselves making a run of more than 526 that is witnessed and documented. And a further prize of $2000 for anyone who breaks Mike's 625 with the same conditions.

Pool enthusiasts feel free to add to the pledge pool.

Mighty Impressive!

Glad to see that things seem to be working so well for John S and OB Cues. I was just talking to John at OB Cues a few days ago and mentioned I thought it would be great for both parties. I didn't expect my words to be supported quite this quickly though!

I agree with others, Mr. 403 just doesn't have the same ring to it. Mr. 500, that would sound nice, Mr 600 even better. A sincere congratulations John but being typical pool players we want more!

I knew John got had gotten lucky when he beat me last weekend. Now he's got a new butt and its making him play even better? I'm gonna go heave a while.

What about this butt? Is this a new addition to the OBCUES line of pool products? A Beta Test. Any special features built into it?
