Darren Appleton Responds to Money Match Challengers :-)

I think your right on here

I'm guessing Dennis is reading the responses here. I'd like to hear his thought on playing Shane again. I would watch him play the other two, but I think the only two in north america that are going to give DAZ more than he can handle is Shane and Alex.

like so many others, thanks to Dynamite for posting this here.......

I am still not sure of what the advantage is playing on home soil.....
I know in other sports, the home crowd plays some part; maybe the home team is used to the playing field (table) .... I don't see how it has to do with the stakehorse wanting to be there watching the action .... I mean, if they are playing for BIG money, what's the big deal about buying a couple of plane tickets and coming/going over? That particular expense could even
be negotiated into the match....

Maybe it's the combination of home table familiarity, home crowd, and just a psychological disadvantage to foreign surroundings? I guess if they come to a poolroom in the U.S., there might be some sharking tactics from the
gallery who made bets....?

Backer(s) who won't back you 10,000 miles away.

Have Vision

Play sets, like the Grand Slams in Tennis, and during commentary compare play to Roland Garrows, or Wimbledon, or US Open Match Play. Have Races to Eleven, best three outta five Sets with a tie breaker win by two. Rack the balls like the Mosconi cup and make these players show their board play safety' skills which are Often more difficult to control than the shot.

Darren,

Make it two foul, none of them will beat you! Yeah, it's a shame to waste what you've learned in kicking and safeties, but you'll be yards in front in real pot and position games against the yanks.

dont get too jumpy we wil send Earl to live near ou. NObody from Anfland can beat him talking and whining.lol

I am willing to stake SVB for two sets the first 20K at Derby in 10Ball and 20K in England on a Diamond Table in 10 ball. We can work out the races, I like a race to 25 each day best of out five at each venue. I also would be okay with an all around format that could also include 8 ball, 1 pocket, bar table pool etc...

I enjoy dealing with Darren and everyone he hangs around with as they all seem to be stand up people.

At this precise moment in time...

Shane wins against DA in most formats.
DA beats RM in most formats, but Rodney has a chance. His high gear is sick.
DA wins over DH.

IMHO, of course.

What my buddy said above. In NA the only guys I like in rotation games against Daz is SVB, JA (can still bring it), Alex P (I will count him as Canadian), John S and Danny H & Earl with a Shrink and Nurse keeping their meds perfect via IV drip between racks.

The only Euro I like against Daz would be Toasty by a super-slim margin (except one hole).

Johnny Archer can win in 9&10-ball.

Good reading ..

I really focused on the guys I mentioned because they call me out ,plus Corey if he interested .. I not taking 2 months off I just lot of things to do at home and then get my table in.. So can knuckle down and practise for these guys..

John I will let you know on Shane I agree playing long race against Shane 10ball with his break against mine at moment I underdog..

9ball with 9ball on the spot I like my chances ..

8ball for sure on the right equipment :-).

Straight pool or one pocket also I like.

I like the idea of all around also.. It will happen for sure but probably later 2014..
But who knows ..

Reason why I don't like race to 100 too long and no pressure .. I like play normal races 21-30-35 so when u miss u get punished.

If I did ever consider race to 100 again it would be over more than 2 days that's for sure .

Darren

Priceless indeed
I can't think of too many top players that can reach into their pocket and actually bet
big money.....but Shane is one of them.....and Alex and Jose.

Ok ok, I didn't know that. Jeez, you guys don't hafta get all snooty on me.

If this happens, let me know, I would love to go to UK to have a drink with you :)
