Troy, I more than understand. I'm an easy going person. I know Don is in Tunica. I tried to get ahold of him before he left.

This is not what I wanted. I tried contacting him. I asked Bogey to do me a huge favor to try to talk to Don. Nothing has worked.

Maybe you can ask him to contact me? I am open to just about any resolution. In my opinion, the easiest (and least expensive) would be for me to sell the Szamboti and Schick. Pay Peter for the Showman. And have Don pay the balance of cash to undo the deal.

Chris,
We think alike. I sent you a pm 15 min ago, I'd be happy to call Don.

I think it went something like this..

:( - At first he was sad

 - Then he was confused with no reply

 - After a while, he became angry

:outtahere: - A mob was formed

:boring2: - Seller was asleep at the wheel, though

:poke: - Somebody got seller's attention

:canoodle: - They kissed and made up

 - All is well is emoticon world once again

Don't quote me on it, but that's how I'll be telling it to my grandkids.

I was thinking that Don had been boobyjacked by aliens after reading this thread, this was not the Don I had dealt with in the past. I am glad to hear that this has been resolved and hopefully both guys can file it away as "just one of those things".

Please do not call Troy a good man! He is anything but . . . I'm glad this is over.

So am I but I still need to sell these two cues. Hopefully I can get close to my numbers and not get crushed on getting money to Peter.

That was Karma telling me I should have kept the Showman. Now I will when I get it back. It will sit permanently next to my Searing and Tuckers.

I certainly hope that all who were involved, and all who have watched this evolve, will chalk this up under the heading of,

SHIT HAPPENS

and as rational folks, we can get it fixed:grin:

I chalked it up under the heading of "Keep the wife in the kitchen and out of your business" section...lol.

All jokes aside, it's nice to finally have a resolution that will satisfy everyone involded, hopefully even the wife

I've been following this thread conscientiously for the past few days and have been keeping my fingers crossed for Chris on his deal. I didnt want to write anything that would provoke the situation then. Although things are resolved now and I shouldn't be stirring sh*t since the victim(from how I see it) has accepted the situation for what it is I still think the deal was completely lopsided..

Chris went a full circle, lost time, money, energy and I'm sure faith as well in dealing with 2nd hand cues.
From any angle that I'm seeing this there's nothing more Chris could've done to be a decent human being.
I don't buy alot nor deal alot so I know my next line ain't gonna hurt Don's bottom line but I for one will not deal with him nor recommend any of my friends in China in doing so.
I know I will get whipped by my last statement but I just don't see a just case here.

In business it's not only about how good your service or products are, those are necessary to Stay in business and make a living. People do remember good service, no doubt. But what makes a good business is when things screw up how you handle them. That's what you're going to be remembered by.
If Don had done something about this sooner, even take a slight lost Or inconvenience in this matter it will definitely generate him more income than throwing money on advertising or going for any road shows/expo. Because people read these threads and remember the good deeds, and it goes a long way.

Chris, I hope you sell them cues and get back as much as possible. You're a good person and I wish you the best of luck.

Although Don is a nice guy and just about everybody likes him, I don't know Don, his wife, their current situation, so it's hard to say what is really going on.
My guess would be that it started when his wife got involved in an $8500 Gus Szamboti deal.
I believe in total equality for women, except when the wife gets involved in a major cue deal when there are issues, refunds, especially with money involved.
Not trying to sound chauvinistic, but what else could it be.
If Chris made the deal with her, I would say the same thing about husbands, if Don got involved in the 4th quarter.
Now the poor guy has to decide between her and AZ.
This is a tough one, but I would choose the forum.
JMHO

Hope Don didn't have to become single to make the deal work out! Really glad to hear everything worked out.

Let's not get confused here. It took a very good friend of Don's to get an answer after nearly 2 weeks and a thread with over 6,000 views.

I still need to sell 2 cues in a down market.

I still need to receive a bank check money order for half of what he owed me.

Peter is the hero for offering up the Showman cue for what he paid Don.

Troy is a hero because he got to Don.

Everything will be ok WHEN I get my money and the Showman.

Until then, it's still a giant pain in my A$$.
