Earl Shane II

Thank goodness for AzBilliards Discussion Forum. I'm going to post a hundred times a day if I want to. I won't be bullied by anybody saying otherwise, either.

I've enjoyed all 18,226 posts and cannot wait for 18,227 on AzBilliards Discussion Forum.

This is nobody's business except the players and the stakehorses. Whatever was said, if anything was said, whenever it was said is an unknown at this juncture.

If it had been a private match then maybe you would be right. But it wasn't. It was a streamed match, publicly advertised, promoted, and run by a company that has gambling directly associated with it. The people who were betting on the match, and were smart enough to include the 9ft follow-up match in the bet, have been screwed.

Everyone just wants to make this overly dramatic, but what happened is simple: Earl agreed to play 2 matches, one of his choosing and one of Shane's choosing. Earl played his match, but won't play Shane's match. Earl is a POS. End of story.

If the events are as they appear, quoted for truth

Welcome to the wonderful upstanding world of pocket billiard railtards. However I think you know my comment there quite well without explanation.

It's an easy game woofing from the sidelines. Funny thing is they both had the "same chance", on the "same table". I do think if Shane had practice time on the 10' he would likely win that match, BUT kudos to Earl for showing just how great a shot maker he is making it look easy on the BIG table. To compete at that level at almost 50 is a feet most don't accomplish.

I would look forward to seeing another match on a 9 or 10' between these two anyday.

If shane had time to practice on THAT table, he wouldn't have gambled on that piece of shit. Table was garbage, plain and simple.

As to the rematch, i'm sure it will happen. My guesse on what's holding things up at this point would be schedule. i don't think these two have even been in the same country at the same time for a while. Either way, when they do play again, on a real table, Diamond 9' or 10', my $$ will be on shane for sure. (And like always betting on shane, I'll still have to give up wait.)

Believe it or not, Troy, this forum used to be a comfortable place to hang out. It was enjoyable to post here, networking with others, exchanging ideas, making new friends, and keeping in touch with old ones. What you see is what you get with me, too.

I have never understood why some people think it's okay to target others time after time again with mean-spirited words at every juncture. It reflective of their character. I have never, never, never worshipped money, the way some folks do. I don't think money should demand respect from others. Some bankrupt their own morals to chase that money because they're so damn broke inside their very souls.

Rather, I judge a person by their character, how they have interacted with others in business and in personal life. Having money doesn't give somebody a free pass to be a jerk to others and threaten them with bodily harm because they don't like them.

Quite often, I have seen people in the pool world worship money, so much so that their own values seem to go out the window. I knew from the first few months of your membership here, Troy, that you have integrity. You treat others with dignity. It doesn't cost anything to be nice, but for some reason, some members of this forum feel the need to rag on others ad nauseum to pump their own inflated egos. It's called megalomania.
You said a mouthfull there....Alot of wisdom in there as well...I have seen what you talking about...it is a shame..What has kind of been my motto in life & has kept me half str8 in life is..."A person makes money but money don't make a person"...I give everyone initial respect till they do something otherwise....hopefully it will get better..I doubt it but we can always hope...take care & tell Keith I said Hi.

My post was not in regards to John.

Should of just kept my mouth shut anyway. Nothing good ever comes from this type of thread.

You right about nothing good usually comes out of these threads but it still is what it is..Nothing anybody has to say will make the 9 foot game take place...IMO it was a hustle not a gamble the way it went down...I've done both hustled & gambled & clearly know the difference...it happens all the time even in daily life...I've had it happen in my industry "Trucking"...more times than i can count...Trying to pick up a major customer..dispatcher promising all future runs if you do this run cheap or don't charge for that & you concede to all the demands that you would normally never agree to...only to have them hardly call & use you sparingly...All I say is call a spade a spade & be done with it & move on.

I am still waiting for the Earl/Shane DVD package from Action Report. It is a 9 DVD set with the entire race and interviews. I apologize for the delay to all the people that have called me for the match. I have been told by Action Report that I would have them soon.
I'm not sure but I think this is what JCIN was talking about?
This thread was suppose to be about the TAR 20 DVDs.
And the train got highjacked.

I have been lurking on AZ for a couple years and I know this post will get a lot of negative comments, but between this thread and some others (I think everyone knows which threads) I couldn't help myself. JAM, your posts are annoying as F*UCK. You know how to push peoples buttons in a politically correct way. Just come out and say it straight instead of in a round about way like you do.
Yes this is my first post, yes many will not like it, it will be my last post as well. Call me a coward, find some things wrong with my english and grammar (I already know im not good, and I know grammar seems to be a big deal here). I just want to be done with this site because of the topics and subjects lately but i can't. I just like pool too much.
Basically no point in this post, just wanted to vent I guess, sorry to add to all the negativity going on around here lately.....

I read this post and was going to respond with a long winded reply, but the only thing that kept popping into my head is "Keith is an amazing guy!".

And for everyone like you, sir, there will be another who likes JAMs contributions here. Like me. Undoubtably many, many more. I don't necessarily agree with everything she (or anyone else) says, but I enjoy her participation here.

Different strokes, for different folks. There's plenty of room here for everyone.

***EDIT *** By the way, your grammar is fine.
