in my time trolling this forum i have seen the better part of a dozen eddie wheat threads started by mr. wheat that have ended up nothing but a bash this cuemaker thread.
And in this entire time i have only seen one in which you have a pic of a completed cue. Granted they look nice, but still over all this time you spend wasting to stir up a hornets nest here on az you have less than a half dozen cues to show for it.
You have stated a few times that this is what you intend to happen when you start these because they give you free advertising. I can tell you this, if you are a "good" craftsman, whether it be a cue builder, cabinet maker, trim carpenter, you will NEVER have to advertise. And by advertising all you do is cause people to question why you are doing it in the first place. Your finished work speaks louder than a thousand "I'm eddie wheat and i'll build a cue faster and better and more customized than any other cue maker out there and for 1/4 the price you would normally pay."
Until you can successfully finish Mr. Edwards cue and make that right i honestly think you should stay off the computer and go into your shop and start making cues, instead of talking about how great a maker you are.
And on a final note, this crap that every single cue is custom measured and blah blah blah sounds like a bullshit way of saying you don't have a proper wood supply or money to build cues and let the market decide what they are worth. That's how it should be done. As an example I'll use RFisher's cues. No offence to any other makers on this forum as i respect and appreciate all of your work, i am just using him as an example. When i see him put a cue up in the for sale forum, it is gone within hours. No advertising, no bashing other cue makers, no talking himself up. Just puts the pictures up and what he wants for it. Maybe you should follow suit.
Just my 2 cents as i am getting pretty sick of these threads. Mr. Wheat, go build some cues and save the drama for the soaps.
