Grudge Match - Columbus, Ohio August 20,21

From CJ's last performance, CJ is a long way away.

I saw Gene playing done here in Memphis and he was playing pretty damn sporty.

But that damned Bartrum has the heart of Secretariat. It isn't skill only that allows him to win, he has the heart the wont let him lose.

Obviously, I like Chris in this matchup.

Matching up and tournaments are different. A guy can play like crap in the tournament and still be the best player there when it comes to matching up.

For a small sweat IF CJ and Chris ever match up I will take CJ just because I like the fact that he used to be one of the best players around and I think he still has a lot of great pool in him.

I would like a bet also

Why all this barking about CJ? Has Chris thrown down the gauntlet to CJ yet? Or anybody else? I haven't seen one person on this thread come on here and say "Hey CJ, this is ______________________. I think I can play some pretty good 10-ball. Why don't we match up for a few geese and see who gets the cheese?"

All I'm seeing on here is a lot of woofing with his name involved because he posted on this thread and then other posters started throwing his name out there as another possible victim for Chris.

All I'm saying is that a lot of you could save yourself a lot of breath (or typing) if you'd just wait until a challenge has actually been made.

Sounds kinda like an elementary school playground on here sometimes. :D

Maniac (has no game, even less heart :o)

I Announce Three Days Ago that I'm Finishing the Documentary and ...................

Earl running that 11th rack (because he had to to win) verifies in my mind that there was nothing (human) that could have stopped Earl from achieving this incredible feat. The Dream that his wife had the night before and Earl looking at her on the car ride to Dallas saying "I'm going to do this, I"m going to win the MILLION DOLLARS!!!"

The question is "do you believe in fate?" Was Earl's win "meant to be," as all the signs suggest "a celestial force guiding the course".....so to speak? ;)

We were about ready to put the last three weeks "finishing touches" on the Documentary when I was mysteriously picked for Captain of the USA Mosconi Cup Team. This is something I would have NEVER expected and, as a result decided to put the Documentary on the shelf to concentrate on that week in London with "Team USA". And now SKY SPORTS (England's ESPN) is doing a documentary leading up to this year's Mosconi Cup too??? Are these just coincidences or are they leading to something big.....something that none us could have planned........hmmmm

Now, two days ago I announced to the world that we would finish the "Million Dollar Documentary" I already see things developing to try to "sidetrack" me from completing the project. I expect the unexpected right now, but I won't deviate from the path this time.....not for a moment....no matter the temptation thrown across the path.

Why is this "force" trying to stop the completion, or is it "another force"?

Is it because the "Million Dollar Documentary" is the Key that will unlock a door for Professional Pool???

Will the right people see this documentary and decide to make the EARL STRICKLAND MOVIE that will rival 'The Color of Money'???

Only time will tell as the {Million Dollar Challenge} plot thickens - The Game is the Teacher'

I think you posted this in the wrong thread. This is about the grudge match and some discussion about you playing Chris. Any comment on that?

Good thing we have to play first or I'd really be in trouble..

It's a good thing we have to play before we decide who wins or I'd be in trouble for sure.

It sounds like Chris should just get the money and me not show up.

Is this tight 9' diamond my best game, probably not, but I will be ready with everything I got.

Chris will not have a stroll in the park here I can guarantee that for sure.

That's why we play any game to see who really wins.

And as far as Dee is concerned I have allot of respect for the guy. He's won allot of tournaments and beat allot of players over the years. Plus he's a really nice guy.
I'm going to try and get ahold of him to see if he wants to play some to help get me ready for this.

We had already talked about playing and how hard it is to give lessons on a daily basis and stay in stroke and he understood.

I'm still doing some scheduled lessons today but after that it's doing my homework and get ready for next Tuesday. I've been there before and know what I got to do.

I've been in stroke real good a few times in the past year or 2. I've played some really good players that never asked me to play again. They could probably beat me the next time we met but they didn't know I have been giving lessons for 2 weeks and not playing.

Bill Rowsey from Memphis asked me once. How in the world do you play at that level and still teach on the road. He's been around and knows how it is.

As far as heart goes. try staying on the road for for the last 4 to 5 years and see how you like it.

Ive
got a chance here to beat one of the best money players around with Chris Bartram.

Do I think I can? Of course I do. Do I think he can win? Of course I do.

That;s why we're going to play. It doesn't matter what you.ve done but what your going to do next Tuesday.

Got to go. I have 2 lessons today.

One man a van and the road........

I've read every post and sorry if I missed it, but is this going to be call shot or express?

You guys are killing me! I dont think I can justify a trip to Columbus to my wife, but I may have to try lol.
