Yeah, I agree. It can get pretty repetitive when every cue on AZ, or on the web for that matter, is described as the best cue out there...
...but to be 100% honest, I have definitely been guilty of using 'buzz words' in a cue's listing...
"Now here I am, in need of a few bucks...and here it is, looking for a new owner who can handle the sweet, concealed playability this very dark ebony fiend has to offer..."
Haha :embarrassed2: I dunno. I guess I am inclined to write a thing or two like that because I actually really DO like the cues I'm selling, and really DO need the cash, and I want people to know that they're not just some random cue I'm trying to unload on some poor schmuck...and I'm also sometimes thinking about "hey, what if someone who is new, or at least somewhat new, to cues comes onto the boards...and starts shopping around...and they just end up reading that someone else has some 'monstrous ball-making cue machine' for sale and then I just post mine with a dry description, adequate for the regulars...and that influences the less informed...and thus, affects me..." -- its sort of the idea 'I wouldn't do it if others weren't so inclined'. And I'm also a career student, so its kind of automatic for me to write flowery bullshit from time to time...lol
...but yeah, you're 100% right. It can certainly get obnoxious.
Much love, manwon.
