He has decided to share his news :(

Grady,,,,,,,

Grady is one of the few Real Icons of the game,,,,

I always enjoy popping in one of his tapes, be it instructional, him playing [ especially against Strawberry Brooks],, or him doing commentary..

Wishes and Prayers to Grady and his family and friends,,,,,,

May the rolls be with you!

Hey Grady, First I want to thank you for being a class act and a stand up guy. I havent seen you since the Derby City two years ago, but you always took time to give me a tip or two and I appreciate that.

I have another friend who was diagonosed with terminal throat cancer and given 12 months to live...., that was 6 years ago, keep living Grady, the rolls are on your side!

P.S. I will drop you a line soon.

Sad, sad news...Grady gave so much to the game he loved. He shared his knowledge (both in person & in commentary), his stories (his book and his posts on this very forum), and his keen wit. My thoughts will be with him and his family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I have had the pleasure of seeing your skill at work. Thank you for all you have given to the pool world.

I've been proud to be able to call Grady a friend, since he had his poolroom on Arapaho in Colorado Spgs, more than 3 decades ago. Since then, our paths have crossed hundreds of times, in almost every part of the country. His voice, skill at the table, and manner are synonomous with pool...a true legend in the sport. God Bless, and best wishes, my friend...:frown:

Terrible to hear this. I consider it a privilege to have met Grady and spoken with him several times. When he came to Binghamton, NY years ago for an exhibition I had him follow me to his hotel. I last saw him a couple of years ago at his room in Lexington, SC. He signed my copy of Winning One Pocket and we shared some memories of the B C Open.
You were the best, Grady!

Grady, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You have long been an icon in the pool & billiard community. Thank you Grady for years of world class pool, your instructional videos, your lessons, your tournaments your commentary and all you have done to promote the game we all love. Thank you for the wonderful stories and most importantly thank you for being you.

Marie,

Thank you so much for sharing this sad news with those that love Grady the most (besides his family), his colleagues in the pool world. It must be a hard thing for you to post.

We will be thinking of you Grady and sending all the possitive thoughts and prayers your way. Thank you for all you do, and have done, for pool.

Dave

Ohhhh, Grady. :crying: We're never here long enough.

It has been my honor to have met you and shared your love for pocket billiards. Thank you for your friendship.

We're all still praying for a miracle and if it doesn't come, know that we are your brothers and sisters and will always remember you and everything you stood for.

Very sudden, and sad news...wishing you and your family, all the best. Treat this bad break the way you've done every adversity in your life...Good luck Grady.
