We have rating systems with this game? Dang, I thought it only mattered if you left with more money than you went in with.

I will claim to be a L player, I want the 6 and out with the breaks plus all my food paid for:thumbup:

I can't hit the rail if I tried, wanna play!

The problem with the poll is it isn't representative. We have players here who could give the 7 and out to most APA 7 and not blink an eye. If your opinion as to the top of the pool playing skill levels is an APA 7, you've never seen real pool being played.

Steve

Everyone will claim to be D players but most shoot somewhere in the B's that I have had the pleasure of meeting. Some people are also a ball away from playing SVB even so watch out!!!

Your poll is a little misleading in that I am an APA skill 7 BUT I would not consider myself a "top notch player" by an means. There are many many .... 7s that would destroy me. I consider myself a lower B player on most scales that I have seen.

SL 7 here. Can't beat anyone, though.

I think the average player on here is very good by your standards, if you think SL 7 makes you a top-end player.

When I quit the APA about 6 years ago, I was a 5 but I think my game has gone down in recent years and I may be a four by now. I haven't played much on the bar tables in recent years and when I do, well let's just say, it's not pretty. :o

Well, the BCA thinks I'm a 9 (of 10 possible), and the poolhall has me as an A player for tournaments.

That is where i'm at now. Lost a bit of speed now that I'm older and don't play regularly anymore.

I don't want to even hit a button considering I'd have to put "top end," which would be about as misleading as it gets.

There are so many posters on this board that would be higher than "top end."

We'll all pretend we didn't read that. I still need weight.

Bar tables? Are those the little things with the buckets I step over when I am trying to get to a pool table? They're kind of cute.

I wish you non-believers would want to make a bet against what I said. I don't know the APA's phone number but I could find it for a few hundred dollar bet, (I mean steal). And if you see me play on a bar table, you'd swear I needed to learn SPIFFS or a more perfect aiming system.

They are cute! At least all the girls that play on them. If you can slide a ball from the second diamond on tbhe long rail into the pocket all you have to be is a shot maker IMO. Big and tight is how I like'em!

The "top end" label is a little wrong (7 in the APA goes from B- to A to AAA to open to pro to top level pro)... but if you treat that option by the league numbers and pretend you didn't read the top end part, the options make sense. The poster is probably aware there are players higher than the highest option he posted... but that level of pool won't be the AZB "average" for sure.
