Huckster, I question your credentials as a gambler, based on your proposal.Why would you think that I would fly to any non tourist city to play a fair even game with someone I don't know? And put up for three sets , and no one can quit until they are at least 2 sets loser.Plus you will cover all the rail action and anything I want to bet.If I took you up and lost please put me on suicide watch. But I do have a nephew that will play your friend with the same terms.

I am sorry I interupted your thread. LilJohn knows how my buddy plays and it in my opinon is a fair game playing 9ball. The only reason I did interject in this thread is because McWorter is benched by the AZ powers that be. I never seen you play but I have seen a 1pkt video you made in the 90's. You seem to be mixing it up a lot lately and I appluad that. It must be hard to get a fair game due to in the 70's I hear "9ball Billy" was just about unstoppable. Did you ever match up with an older Don Willis? or when you were coming up was he done by then? Good luck keep playing it may be tough for you to get a fair game right now, but you once again are becoming reconized as good action.

Huck, Don Willis was before me,I never had the pleasure,or the opportunity to play him. He was and still is recognized as one of the best.Once again I apologize for overlooking who your post was directed to,sorta like my pool game constantly overlooking obvious situations. You also made reference to how hard it is for me to get a fair game,I think that's true for most of the gambling ,playing pool. Particularly for me because very few people know how I play,including myself.

I agree that I could probably agree to get them to play for less than half, but I dont like that. Maybe if Chris runs into you sometime we can make something happen. Its just hard for me to stake someone at a game that they just got absolutely robbed at, whether he played bad or not. I am sure you understand. Good luck matching up, I am sure Ill see you at Derby City.

That's not quite true, Willy. I know how you play -- you're helpless! At least when I bet on you, you are. I am O for 3 betting on you. When Efren gave you the 8 and the break (you at least broke even on that play), then I blew a tough $500 when you played Ike the first time. Then another tough $500 the next time you played Ike and you told me you were in dead stroke, but you never ran over three balls.
So I am now going to act as an unpaid shill for you. All those guys that were trying to match up with you had better act quickly before the line gets too long. If I wasn't so old and washed up, I'd be in that line myself. Walmart's has a big sale this week on rocking chairs, if I were you I would seriously look into that type of recreation. I'm only saying all this because I still love you, and I don't want to see you get into too much trouble at your (advanced) age. But if you must play, make sure those gunfighters give you a man-sized spot!

Didn't Helfert say he's 10 for 10 betting on Billy? Uh oh.... either Toupee's a better gambler or The Beard was put in the middle!

Either way, I have an extra handicap sign I can send Billy to wear as a necklace if it'll attract the man-spots:)

I bet on Billy years ago, when he could play a little. Now, he is on the down side, and will soon be a "has been" like Bunny Rogoff. The good part for current pool stars is that Billy has deep pockets now, and can take some big hits. Just look what the Lizard and Ike have done to him in the last year alone.

It will be hard for me to bet on Billy again, unless he gets a very attractive game. I don't want to ruin my perfect record with him. When I hear about Billy going to six, I may loosen my pockets and make a small sweat bet. :)
