wincardona said:Jamie ,your space on your private messages has exceeded it's quota so here's the deal or no deal. You can bring Duel and Bartrum to Dallas to play me and David G. In one pocket i'll play Bartrum even. His last attempt was clearly not NEAR his best. I will also play Cory 11/7, based on the players I played ,the spot, and the winner, Duel has an edge, you can ask anyone that truly knows both our games. In 9 ball Bartrum pleaded with me to get David to play him, that is also a good game for us to gamble at. Finally your offer to stake Cory with the 7 against David is another game we can gamble at, which incidentally doesn't make me happy. You have 2 champions in Bartrum and Duel, and Cory might be arguably the best player in the world.I'm 63 years old with diminishing health and skills, and strongly considering retiring again for the 5th. time. You should feel strong about your position here, so get your players and fly.

How many bags of sand would you be willing to play for if you had a fair even game that would bring you to Ohio? I would like to put a friend of mine into some big action I would post 3 sets and you guys play, with the stipulation that someone has to be up at least 2 sets before anyone can quit. Also I would like any rail action you or anyone you are with wants. My buddy is not a worldbeater. He is a buisness owner that I want to put into high dollar action. I will give you the details if you PM me. It is a gamble, but I want to put him in highdoller action just to railbird it.

I think that was directed towards liljon.wincardona said:Huckster, I question your credentials as a gambler, based on your proposal. Why would you think that I would fly to any non tourist city to play a fair even game with someone I don't know? And put up for three sets , and no one can quit until they are at least 2 sets loser.Plus you will cover all the rail action and anything I want to bet.If I took you up and lost please put me on suicide watch. But I do have a nephew that will play your friend with the same terms.

huckster said:Billy,
I am sorry I interupted your thread. LilJohn knows how my buddy plays and it in my opinon is a fair game playing 9ball. The only reason I did interject in this thread is because McWorter is benched by the AZ powers that be. I never seen you play but I have seen a 1pkt video you made in the 90's. You seem to be mixing it up a lot lately and I appluad that. It must be hard to get a fair game due to in the 70's I hear "9ball Billy" was just about unstoppable. Did you ever match up with an older Don Willis? or when you were coming up was he done by then? Good luck keep playing it may be tough for you to get a fair game right now, but you once again are becoming reconized as good action.
wincardona said:Ray, I appreciate your offers, but I am not the kind of a player that can go on the road and win. At one time I could, but that's far behind me. Bartrum is an excellent player, and in reference to the game that we played he didn't run more than 4 balls in any of the games we played. I'm sure I don't have to explain to you why I won't spot him . But I will come to Columbus and play him even if he can't run more than 4 balls. Of coarse that's rediculous, as is him not running more than 4 balls when we played ,is also rediculous. So if you truly want to gamble on Bartrum ,i'll play him in Dallas even. If he plays his game he has an excellent chance of beating me. Many players like his game over mine. In regard to giving 50% to a player when he is getting staked in a tough game, should be negotiable. I'm sure that just about any player would be willing to accept much less when the bet is high and the game is close. And you certainly seem to me like the type of a person that would be able to negotiate a lesser % with a player you stake, considering the circumstances. I also am just trying to think of a solution. Waiting to hear from you. Bill Incardona
wincardona said:Huck, Don Willis was before me,I never had the pleasure,or the opportunity to play him. He was and still is recognized as one of the best.Once again I apologize for overlooking who your post was directed to,sorta like my pool game constantly overlooking obvious situations. You also made reference to how hard it is for me to get a fair game,I think that's true for most of the gambling ,playing pool. Particularly for me because very few people know how I play, including myself.

freddy the beard said:That's not quite true, Willy. I know how you play -- you're helpless! At least when I bet on you, you are. I am O for 3 betting on you. When Efren gave you the 8 and the break (you at least broke even on that play), then I blew a tough $500 when you played Ike the first time. Then another tough $500 the next time you played Ike and you told me you were in dead stroke, but you never ran over three balls.
So I am now going to act as an unpaid shill for you. All those guys that were trying to match up with you had better act quickly before the line gets too long. If I wasn't so old and washed up, I'd be in that line myself. Walmart's has a big sale this week on rocking chairs, if I were you I would seriously look into that type of recreation. I'm only saying all this because I still love you, and I don't want to see you get into too much trouble at your (advanced) age. But if you must play, make sure those gunfighters give you a man-sized spot!

Either way, I have an extra handicap sign I can send Billy to wear as a necklace if it'll attract the man-spots
I'm juuuust kidding before everyone panics and flames... just trying to poke the tiger...
