I don't see 9 ball being the same type of challenge as snooker, where shot making is REALLY put to the test on a much bigger table with much tighter pockets, and where it requires much more precise position play too. If you really want the ultimate challenge, they need to play snooker. Of course this wouldn't be fair because of Quentin's prevous experience and expertise in that game. The same way that 9 ball wouldn't be fair because of John's previous experience and expertise.Jimmy M. said:<snip>As far as pool games go, 9-ball is probably one of the easier games they could play on a pool table, but it's still a game that will challenge all of a player's abilities, especially in a long set like John is offering. I don't see 8-ball being the same type of challenge, where breaking, kicking, jumping, shot-making, etc are really put to the test.

i only ever made 2 147 breaks in my whole career but i know alot of snooker pros over there made many terry was a good player he could play great in streaks but i think he liked his guiness a little too much eh. he was a nice guy i hope he is doing well

Ask around yourself Jay......talking gambling in general and not singling out pool, almost anyone outside USA and many inside, can tell you that the gambling intensity of the Chinese and of the Hong Kong Chinese in particular, is way beyond that of Americans![]()

LOL....I had a bet with myself on how you would respond. I won.memikey said:Yep, anytime JCIN.
The relatively few casino establishments in Macao gross more annually than all the casinos in Las Vegas added together. Happy Valley racecourse in Hong Kong has by a very very long way the biggest betting turnover of any racetrack anywhere. Asian bookies' takings dwarf those of Europe and USA.
Asians are rabid gamblers. There really is no reasonable comparison and Jay is (albeit very patriotically) way off the mark.
