John Schmidt, love him or hate him! Lets vote. I love when he posts. He pulls no punches. He's one of the people that make this forum interesting. Sure many posters can run a hundred or more, big deal, I can go down to my pool hall and see that. But John, he makes it exciting to read. One hundred balls and 400 balls is a huge difference. Keep the shit flying John and I will keep coming back to hear you F with people. Seriously I'd like to see a vote. Love him, hate him, don't give a shit, whatever?

It is entertaining nonetheless, but stirring the pot is not the way to go. John is a good shooter, don't know him personally, so I would like to see whether or not if he is really a good person. If John is making good constructive posts and not stirring the pot, than I vote yes, we always like to see pros come on here and chime in on many topics, I would love that, but if John comes here to just "F" with people, than I vote no. JMHO

I met John in person last year. He was a real classy individual. Very open and friendly.

I highly doubt he comes on here to mess with anyone. I think that this place has given his temper a short fuse, however. He puts up with alot of crap.

From what I know, see and read...

John ... cares.

And isn't too egotistical to put it on the street.

Additonally, he has passion, pride, dedication and exceptional talent.

I wish there were more in the world like him.

He reminds me somewhat of me, and although I miss more, I can punctuate.

(Don't get all pissy with me now John 'cause I know where the shift key is, ok? Greensboro is fresh out of goats.)

I tell you something, he only really talks crap to one person on here. He is always well dressed at tourneys, he always uses his manners and is polite. He will sign autographs and be happy doing it. (I amd sure someone has caught him after a big loss and he may not have been that friendly)
He is not on drugs, not a drunk, and is dedicated to the game. I think this is a great example of our Pro Pool Players. JMO

This is true, at any event I've been to John has been a total professional.
Some of what I read on here, well we all get our nose open from time to time. He may let his hair down around here...hey its family.

I really don't think this is a good idea. A thread like this can lead to nasty posts and hard feelings. Why stir the pot?

I certainly enjoy reading his posts. It if refreshing to see a professional being absolutely honest. I don't know him and have never met him, but he seems to have a passion for the game and I like to watch him play. He seems polite and cordial in his interviews. I vote yes!

Love the honesty and I'm glad he bothers.

Its a better place because he contributes. He's made a fan of me do to it.

Hit em well John.

Throw out John's past on this forum, for all that really matters is his present. John's meteoric rise as a superstar in our sport has been accompanied by an equally impressive refinement of his demeanor and communicative style.

To those whose paths cross his, he is accessible, approachable, and courteous. To his fellow pros, he is respectful, and even compassionate, as he demonstrated when he offered condolences to Corey Deuel, who was done in by a double-hill skid in the final, during his victory speech at Valley Forge last month.

John is wearing success well, growing as a player and as a man. Love him or hate him? That one's easy. Love him, of course, for he has developed into both a magnficent player and a magnificent role model in our sport.

Wishing him continued success, and for what it's worth, I see him as a future BCA Hall of Famer. If he wants to post here, great, and if he chooses not to, that's fine, too. It's his choice entirely.

If all pro players acted like John at touraments there would be National Tour and pool would be on TV. And last but not least, the top 100 players would be making a living. Johnnyt

I vote yes also. All the way!! I played John at the open and he was a great guy and tons of fun to play against. Really cares about the game and the people....

I was lucky enough to watch John play Danny at side pockets at 10 ball.
I have not watch much of John play before, but after seeing him play in person he is great to watch .He made this draw shot that about made
me sh;t myself.I now try to find videos of John playing, the man has game
and a whole lot of it.

ive seen some of his videos and he seems like a decent guy and im usually a pretty good judge of character. he is the pool players barry bonds sometimes...noone wants to see that record be broken but he is the closest thing to doing it. try and bring him down but id like to see it happen. judge the playing conditions all u want but todays pockets are alot smaller than old times but our equipment is better. john will probably break it on a 9' table though also. there are arguements either way. if u have something bad to say about him im guessing your probably just mad that your not that good, dont talk trash on the forum just go beat him or stay quiet....
